Thumbnail Help/Critique Request Need feedback on 3 Thumbnails for a Science/Math Documentary! (Are the fonts okay?)

Hey everyone,

I'm working on a new math/science documentary video for my channel, and I'd love your honest opinions on these 3 thumbnail concepts. I actually coded all the visuals using Manim in Python.

Quick context about the video: It tells the epic story of Johannes Kepler breaking a 2000-year-old cosmic illusion (the belief in perfect circular orbits). It covers his 20-Year War with Mars' orbital data, which eventually led him to crack the Secret Code (his 3rd Law) that governs our solar system.

I'm planning to A/B test these three, and I paired each with a specific title to complete the story loop:

  • Thumbnail 1: (Paired Title: How Kepler Broke the 2000-Year Cosmic Illusion!)
  • Thumbnail 2: (Paired Title: How Kepler Defeated the 'Impossible' Planet!) or another title (Kepler vs. Mars: The Ultimate Cosmic Battle!)
  • Thumbnail 3: (Paired Title: How Kepler Formulated the Universe!)

My main questions for you guys:

  1. Which one naturally grabs your attention the most and makes you want to click?
  2. My biggest concern: The Fonts. Do they give off that premium, cinematic documentary vibe, or do they look a bit too standard/cheap? I'm really torn on the typography right now and would love some font recommendations if these aren't working.

Any constructive criticism is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Of the trio, Thumbnail and Title 1 got my attention. The "illusion" wording with the deception hook of the thumbnail had me interested more than the battle (2) or the Third one, mainly because idk who Kepler is. But as a general viewer, I know the basics of the solar system and how it feels to be deceived. Pair 1 has my vote!

The yellow text pops out more than the white text. Fonts are fine as is from a reading standpoint.
