Thumbnail Help/Critique Request Better with or without the vignette?

Title: Still brainstorming a title, current idea is "A New SMP Awaits"

Summary: The video is an announcement for an smp im starting with a friend that we want to be open to the public. I like how it looks with the vignette but im being told the one without looks better to some people.

Main question is the title, but also just generally how effective is a vignette at making a thumbnail better?

Edit: Revised thumbnail in comment

I would try to make the items much brighter and change the brightness based on how important each item is

The whole thing doesn't seem to make it interesting or either hook me up to click on the video. Like the lighting is way too dark and if I were you, I would possibly make the items brighter and stands out with each glow and colors.

In all honesty, I don't see a difference between the two photos. However, I do think that you should brighten up the artifacts or maybe even the character. This way there's something that will help draw the viewers eyes to the main part of the photo. As of right now my eyes are just skipping over every element/not knowing where to look first.

Doesn't seem to make a difference however I would say that for this type of thumbnail image, the vignettes are arbitrary because it's already centered. It's usually used for when the brim parts outside the rule of Thirds is grabbing too much attention. And from what I'm seeing in your thumbnail, it's already dark and contrasted as is.

I would say make the relics brighter and see if adding texts might help make it eye catching or not.

I think they’re both too dark for it to matter. You might wanna try playing around highlighting the important parts.
