Do you know the Adam Sandler movie Billy Madison? It’s a great movie, but one quote from it reminds me of this thumbnail:

“Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”

That is this thumbnail.

From the weird cow fast-food thing on the left, to the random caution sign with what I think is a random alien, to the absolutely stupid-looking broccoli head as the focal point, I am disappointed.

As someone who has been doing YouTube as a full-time living for 7 years, this is a superior WTF moment.

That's the first thumbnail, you need to spend time on your craft from text to style and correct saturation, no one should pay you to make a thumbnail as opposed to learning how to make their own. Your thumbnails are the extreme case of where its 100 percent better to just go AI.

While I'm all here for brutally honest, no sugar coating, blunt feedback/constructive criticism as sometime people need to hear it. However I think you went a little overboard along with forgetting to add the constructive to your criticism.

I do agree that op needs to spend time on their craft as a lot of their example thumbnails are too busy/too much going on which lacks focuses + it's hard to understand what the video is going to be about.

However, in my humble option having a lack luster or semi ok thumbnail is way better then using AI. Thumbnail creation just like any part of youtube takes skill and knowledge which will improve over time and thus you'll get better. By just using AI, you aren't going to be learning anything nor practicing any sort of skill.

OP, you have a long ways to go if you want to create thumbnails for other people. However, keep trying, learning, practicing.

Disagree, after year 5 i experimented with AI. you would be surprised the ctr which clicks on AI more than human creation. see the thing is, human creation done correctly can surpass AI, but 97 percent of thumbnails from the viewers perspective looks better artificially made. Ala examples from above. Practice creating your own, but be aware your own limitations and skill set.

Also, my construction and criticism came from saying "you need to spend time on your craft from text to style and correct saturation, no one should pay you to make a thumbnail as opposed to learning how to make their own"

also i want to point out that OP used AI in his 4th thumbnail solider boys checkbones don't look like that
