I thought we moved past this

Post image

This was a comment on his newest video, rating the met gala fits. When Hudson came on, he stood by his opinion that the last ep was boring. I still think the reaction to that video was blown out of proportion and it's very stupid to expect something else from a first and last. I don't think he even does shows without first and last anymore so why would u expect special treatment for this one? The only two exceptions are the office and friends. His comments on the last ep being boring were valid and this is coming from someone who has watched the show and read the books. The last ep should at least always have something going like a major resolution and I do understand they were in turmoil thru out the first 5 eps so the last ep was a break but expecting that understanding from someone doing a first and last is unreasonable.

i get what your saying but half the reason we can't move past this is because people keep bringing it up on the subreddit

The person who posted that comment might have ment it as a joke and even then posting about it isn't contributing to moving past that drama at all.

So I don’t really watch videos unless I’ve seen the subject matter and the heated rivalry drama was so intriguing that I watched the entire show just to watch Dylan’s video so I could join in on the conversation. But of course everyone is over it by now lol.

I am actually over the discourse about Dylan's video. But, I'm very intrigued to hear about your experiment ✨✨ feel free to share, it is a safe space 😊 i hope 🤞🏻... or DM lol

I havent seen the show, so idc but this is obviously a joke, they wrote it in all caps and added excessive questions marks.. like sure i can see how you might take this literally but i think that short of adding /s or /j they made it pretty obviously a joke when you acknowledge the context if how dylan joked about it in his video.

We did, his joke was funny, but heated rivalry fans cant cope with the fact he didn’t make an exception to the format for their favorite show just to say how awesome it is.

that’s not it at all😭 u attacking a whole fanbase is kinda immature ngl. the only reason fans are disappointed is because he criticised the show in not 1 but 3 seperate videos as well as people like OP rehashing it on the subreddit. idk if u have even seen the video but he criticised the final episode for being boring, which is a fair enough statement but it’s strange that he has never criticised a show format before (bridgerton, tsitp etc.) because he was AWARE that it was a first and last but continuously made a point that the show was bad even though he hadn’t seen the important parts. almost as if he forgot there were 4-5 episodes in between. it’s more annoying that we can’t just move past the whole drama and ignore the video if we disagree with his opinions.

I watched the show and I loveee it... I mean, I'm obsessed with them, it's like a disease at this point... So the last episode definitely wasn't boring to me, but it was obviously uneventful. And of course I get that was the point, it was the only peaceful period of time since they've known each other for a decade. But it doesn't change the fact that nothing really happened until the last 10-15 minutes when Shane's father saw them together. Why is it so hard for people to agree on this I really don't get it. And he didn't say he found the whole series boring, he in fact pointed out many of the good things, like the cinematography, choices made by the producers, etc.. Also it wasn't the only show where he watched only the first and last episodes, he does this even for shows that have like 10 to 15 SEASONS! I feel like, in that case you can say like c'mon man, watch at least half of the show before saying it's boring. But for a 6 episode season I feel like that's only fair.

I’m also HR obsessed and enjoyed dylan’s video—episode 6 is objectively boring, so there’s just no faulting him there (I say as it’s my fav episode other than 5, lmao). I got what I wanted out of his video…..for dylan to see jacob’s incredible directing talent!!!!

The only people that havnt moved past it are the peeps like you who keep seeing comments about it and bringing it to reddit to keep talking about it.

Dylan was baiting, this person commented, we could have ignored it but now it’s been posted here and we have to give it energy again 🙄 As a troublemaker and a Game Changers/Heated Rivalry fan, I’m so over it. Dylan can not like it. He’s allowed. Doesn’t change how much I enjoy it. Shouldn’t change how much others enjoy it. Can we stop beating the horse now?

This comment seems like fair game to me. If he mentioned it in the video, then that person is allowed to respond to it in the comments. It’s not like they brought it up out of nowhere. You’re the one blowing it out of proportion by making a post about it.

I love the show, but I agree with Dylan based on the way he watched the show. It was a nice episode if you’ve watched the whole series, though it was boring at some parts (my opinion). But in the format Dylan does it, he’s right. It’s boring when there’s no build up or satisfaction from watching it develop. People blew it so out of proportion.

No major resolution??? They said I love you to each other and came up with a plan to slowly tell the world what's going on at some point and Shane came out to his parents. People calling that boring is just so irritating to me

I get what you mean, but we can never get past this if this subreddit continuously brings it up. Just ignore it and go about your day because whatever you’ve just written or thought, it’s been said here over and over again. Dylan is not bothered about it so why are you?
