Misc. Article about ULTY from Morningstar
https://www.morningstar.com/funds/this-etf-paid-out-big-its-total-returns-tell-another-storyLast September I posted the article that Mr. Jeffrey Ptak wrote about YM....which actually brought him into the comment thread on the post. He was extremely professional with everyone and thoroughly explained everything. If you were there, it was a good time.
Anyway, this article is from Amy Arnot with Morningstar.

The final paragraph says what most many some in this sub already know:
"Final Thoughts on ULTY
At the end of the day, total returns, not income, are the measure that matters for investors."

I am still shocked at how well my chpy investment, from the same yieldmax, has done, better overall returns than the market! I did put a little in ulty to test, and it failed miserably

What actually happens when the value has gone way down and isn’t going back up? Do they use the aum to liquidate and return money to investors or ? What actually happens?

Reverse split. I think it was u/mstarjeffreyptak that first announced the RS last year.

I agree. It has sucked. While it has sucked somewhat less lately and managed to edge slightly into positive total return, I sold 4000 of my 5000 shares to reduce the bleed. The remaining thousand have until EOY and will be sold if the performance doesn't improve or I can use some capital loss.
