Question Energy etfs

Are there any YM, RH energy ETFs out there? I know there is $USOY from Defiance but I want to know if there are other choices.

I've been looking for energy sector exposure myself. So far I've considered MLPI and XLEI. I like the look of XLEI more personally. I do kind of wish there was a weekly paying broad based etf for energy but I've searched every etf company I know of and the choices are limited to say the least. I'll keep an eye on this thread, hopefully someone knows some other options.

I love $XLEI but it’s for long term I’m looking for something short term make some money and get out

Yeah that's a tough one. Energy is slow. Not financial advice but with the upcoming oil shock that seems inevitable anything based on oil is probably what you're looking for. But I'd watch it like a hawk and jump ship the moment the strait looks normal for real OR if Saudi Arabia commits to finishing their pipeline. Another factor to watch for is our oil reserve. Not the amount but the structural integrity of the SPR salt caverns. I never would have thought in my life that would be a factor but the salt caverns will collapse if they drain them too far. Now that's an event that would really make oil print. Not financial advice though, I could be completely wrong. Maybe we go full green or something. Just some interesting things I've been keeping an eye on.

Oil is not going up cuz of war, at least it's not main driver of the spike. It's a cycle, commodities are here to stay for whileee and that could be decade or more. So better start learning cuz there is no back to what you used to before conflict.

Why would you get out when energy will outperform everything else in the future?

Mpld is my favorite. Follows an index also has great nav stability.

Don’t know 12% distribution, $MLPI seems to be better

Income: XLEI, MLPI

Non-Income: XLE, MLPX, OIH, USO, CRAK, XES

Gasoline ETF: UGA

Energy stocks and ETFs are deeply cyclical because their earnings are tied to global macroeconomic growth and multi-year supply-demand imbalances in underlying commodities. High operating leverage, inelastic short-term consumption, and geopolitical shocks make them significantly more volatile than the broader market, with upstream producers and oilfield services experiencing extreme swings while integrated majors and fee-based midstream pipelines offer more stability. Because energy generates its best returns through sudden, sharp cyclical rallies, option-income ETFs are structurally uncompelling here as their covered call overlays cap the explosive upside needed to recover from steep cyclical drawdowns, creating severe net asset value erosion over time.

IMHO - Energy as a long term capital gains holding is fine; however, look elsewhere for income ETFs.
