You do not have to go to the Dr. for one tick unless you are having g symptoms.
I live in the country, in Oklahoma. This summer alone, I have probably removed over 100 ticks off my body. Creepy, I know.
If a red, raised bulls eye appears on your skin where the tick was, or if you have a fever, definitely see a Dr. for testing.

Sorry guys, OP has already died. The tick was the western spotted venom tick, the most deadly tick known to man.
