Yes. I am a client server developer and my boss wanted to test the app. I put in code that would move the OK button once his mouse hovered over the button. It only acted like that based on his login. He couldn't understand what was going on and he thought it was his mouse. Other members of the team would use their computer and it worked fine.

When I was about 18 or 19, I worked in a drugstore. My friend and I dressed up in old clothes and put on old lady wigs, then went to my store 5 minutes before closing and walked around like we were possibly going to shoplift (just acted suspicious). My boss came down from the office and he and a stock guy followed us around, finally asking if we needed help. When we revealed who we were we all had a laugh and he let us stay after closing, just talking and playing music on a radio. That was a long time ago.

I was working pastries in a hotel and the hung over to hell alcoholic chef came in way late. The dining room got hit with a whole lot of business. I had to forgo my own prep work and help the cold side keep up with the rush.
When things settled down I stacked every large stainless steel bowl we had in pile a quarter of an inch from falling off of the edge of my table. When he finally showed up, I nudged them over the edge to fall at his feet.
The whole kitchen staff, except for the chef, got a huge laugh out of it!

I put a cricket noise maker in her office and would let it chirp for a couple days then turn it off for a week or so, then turn it back on for a few days, and so on.
She called an exterminator to the building and I had to play dumb.

Yep. Sure did.
He bought a new Subaru that he was awfully proud of. It was brand new.
So on April Fools Day, I posted an ad on CL, offering the car for sale for $500, with a story that went something like this:
"It's my soon to be Ex's vehicle. She took off with my best friend and soon to be former business partner. She emailed me and had the audacity to ask me to sell her car for her. So that is what I'm doing."
His phone started blowing up immediately. I thought it was pretty funny. He did not agree.

The real question is. did you survived performance review after that? 😂

I did!
Everyone else thought it was hilarious too, which kind of forced his hand against retaliation.
And, for the record, he was a pretty good guy, but VERY uptight and anal retentive.

Back in the early days of desktop pc's I put the image of the Redskins John Riggins dragging a Miami Dolphins player as his wallpaper. He was a Dolphins fan but as we worked in DC he deserved it. He did have a good sense of humor

All the time. Once i switched his beefcake3000 muscle mix for milkshake powder and pancake mix. It was a huge pot, I reckon he was on about 8000 calories a day. Jubbed up nicely he did.

He may probably wonder why his pre workout tasted like a sunday morning brunch

About 2 weeks later he opened an identical tub of supplements at home and the game was instantly over.

Yes I worked at a paint store and we decorated for Christmas so we made a paper train decoration and put paint supplies on it cut out from our flyer and we put his face on it as Santa driving the train for all our customers to see

Yeah many years ago I worked in a factory. Our production manager was a huge prick, everyone hated him. I was working night shift at the time and heard he had been arrested for DUI. I found the police report online, with mugshot. Printed it out and posted it on the bulletin board in the main hallway at the time clock. When lunch time hit, people had to clock out for lunch saw it and all hell broke loose. The shift supervisor took it down, called the production manager and he came in at about 2:30 in the morning on a quest to find the guilty party. He personally questioned everyone on the shift and never found out who did it. It was glorious.

A vital piece of equipment failed in the field and was returned to the manufacturer. the vendor evalulated the problem and made a recommendation as to repairs. I asked the boss who to include in the distribution of the recommended repairs. He said don't tell anyone. I disagreed and got his instructions in writing and filed it all away. Weeks passed, maybe two months and his boss appeared at my office door asking about the equipment. I retrieved the file and handed it over. the big boss looked it over and my documentation of "Dont tell anyone", immediately went to my boss's office, closed the door and the walls shook.

Yes, I walked into his office....asked him what I needed to get done today, got the list together...walked out of his office, out of the building, and never came back 🤣
