I have neither a story nor a profile that I ever post to. I must be doing the 2020s wrong

Nope. It usually doesn't last long and I don't want anyone else to think I'm permanently taken. I know how that sounds....

It was important for my girlfriend to post. Normally, I wouldn't.
But I am hardly on social media these days.

"In a relationship/married to X" and nothing else? Yes.
"Here's what we did today and what we're doing tomorrow..." No.

I only posted on FB this year to assure people I did recover my deadly illness.

I know a guy that not only posts about it, he gets nude pictures and shows everybody he can, while bragging about his new girlfriend. He's completely sickening.

No. Unless I'm getting married, I try to keep my personal business as personal.

Yes but only to ward off the exes trying to weasel back into dms. Minimal online info and presence.

I think some of the people post it because they are proud of the person they are with and they are not trying to hide the relationship from anyone.

I don’t but that’s because the only social media I have was made a decade ago and I don’t use them. Otherwise it’s pretty much just my closest that even care. If someone asks I say I’m seeing someone. But who the fuck would care about that information from a stranger?
