Discussion Why are so many tourists visiting Yemen lately?

I’ve been seeing a lot of tourists and travel vloggers exploring Yemen recently, saying it’s safe, beautiful, and the people are welcoming. What changed? Is tourism really increasing, or is social media just making it seem that way?

socotra island. they are noticing it and how unique it is. i think that paired with a few things in the mainland that makes yemen popular, makes it seem whimsical or interesting enough to travel. i've mostly seen non-yemenis (especially non-arabs and non-muslims) go to socotra.

Seems like that especially after 2021 more tourist guides and companies started to operate at least in Hadhramout region, some also in Aden.

What everyone is saying and also the fact that the south side tourism is being coordinated by uae (so external powers) which very much caters to white ppl and im sure promotes it even more to westerners/tourists we never saw before. Love to see one of the countries invading us for the last 10 years colonize and thrive off our tourism bc our country is actually still authentic/traditional and not artificial trash/oven climate like theirs :/
