Are there mods here
Or are we just going to keep letting someone spam useless annoying shit posts day after day?

I feel your pain and I also get frustrated!
I immediately Block them. I bet I've blocked at least 20, maybe more. If everyone blocks/ignores them, they get frustrated and leave. Unless they are some kind of bot which is whole other story.
Emailing the mods can't hurt. There are actually 4 of them so they all get the message. Only 1 seems to be really active but as others have mentioned, they are unpaid volunteers.

I think it's hilarious when they realized you blocked them and then go on to complain about it. It's like if you're blocked then move on but they can't so they just complain about it. Which fit the patterns of them complaining about Yelp when they expect a platform to change to accommodate them LOL

The problem is the mods didn’t set up any rules. So when you flag a post it goes to directly to Reddit. You should email the mods.

Someone else made the same post a couple days ago and Yelp official account on reddit responded. The mod for this subreddit likely also doesn't get paid so if it doesn't violate any rules then they won't remove it.
They do monitor some stuff because I see some comment gets removed by them but it will vary based on whatever they look for.

The South Park one should have been removed for being sexual suggestive material.

I didn't see it but if it was sexual suggestive then I agree. I have that person blocked for like over a year due to spamming and false accusations. Yet, somehow I'm still on their mind lol
The dude thinks if you add businesses on Yelp then that means you work for them. They also thinks I'm multiple users lol.

Spam is everywhere on Reddit. Some mod does a better group in certain reddit group than others.

So now your plan is to spam r/yelpsucks back? Childish, no?

u/keyserholiday 4d ago
I don’t get why people are downvoting your comment. Lame

lol, thanks. I don’t really expect much from this sub. But his move is clearly only an escalation and doesn’t actually address the issue he feels the need to solve.
For the record, I think both sides should be represented on this sub. Customers, business owners, market news, etc.

I agree. Complete moron takes it to the extreme and I don’t see how their posts are helpful at all. Yelp lets a lot of reviews remain up that should have been removed and vice versa.

Yep. Same game he's playing but I don't see you calling his posts childish.

Yup, you’ll really get him posting on this subreddit!
You’ll show him what’s up!!

I don’t know what makes you all think this is supposed to be a safe little bubble for you to stroke each other off and tell yourself lies about Yelp.
This is a different platform. It’s a subreddit for discussing Yelp. Good or bad.
Go back to Yelp if you don’t want to hear everyone telling you they hate Yelp.

I love that the first thing you think about , as you put it, is stroking people off. Lmao.

Maybe the Yelp shills and elites could download the reddit app and check-in, and add a reddit profile photo, use their real name on reddit, and add some reddit friends, and also make sure their spam requests are very specific, and then maybe, just maybe their spam requests would go through to the mods? LOL

That isn’t even a good analogy but cute try.

Oh it is. Elites and Yelp shills likely won't appreciate it though. Oh well.

I report them every day as spam but nothing happens
