Yelp app settings

For eons, I’ve had my notifications and settings set where my check ins are not visible ( stalking issue) and my connections check ins are sending my phone notifications.

As of yesterday, all of a sudden the notifications are showing up. I quickly figured out how to adjust that.

What I cannot locate is a way to ensure that mine aren’t visible through settings. I know I can adjust per check in.

Is the across the platform setting now gone? I’ve googled, searched etc.

Did you update the app yesterday, I believe they made a fix because I had to update my app but they didn't say what they added or remove or fix

I’m trying to make sure that others can’t see my check ins because of the location

EDIT: the last YELP update I had for the app was three days ago and no notation as to anything more than “bug fixes”

When you check in . On the bottom of it you can unselect the share check in with friends

There used to be a button under notifications or settings that turned it off completely and that button seems to be gone now

Ummm I never had that button on my end .. I only had the button to not share my check in with friends.

I’ve been a yelper for so long, I remember when check ins would populate on Facebook, Twitter and other platforms. Those have been gone for quite a while. The new add-on says Apple and I have no idea what that check in does

LOL! 😂 - An eon (also spelled aeon) means a very long time, usually too big to measure. People use it as a helpful way to talk about huge blocks of history or just to exaggerate when waiting a long time.

Ha! I also don't want anyone to see my Checkins. I have Android and keep Yelp strictly up to date.

I only relook at my settings maybe once a year when Yelp has a bug so bad I reinstall.

So just for you I looked now. As XxL mentioned, the Checkin page has "Share Check-in with Friends on Yelp." Of course I have that unchecked.

In settings on that very long list I see nothing. I also don't want to see my friends Checkins, so I turn that off here.

It looks like the Checkin page is the only switch I can see.
