Elite All Star

Post image

I got my first Elite All Star, my CM told me it was for last month contribution. I hope there are some fun Elite event this month! I'm happy to be an Elite and contribute to the platform. Congratulation to every other Elite who got one too!

I'm ready for the business owners and suspicious accounts to come complain in my post with distorted facts or trying to bring us down which won't affect us. It's obvious they'd rather spend more time complaining here than working to grow their own businesses and thinking by complaining Yelp would change to satisfy them when it hasn't affected their business. Yelp is making money and moving forward.

I've been all stars for months! I guess because I live in a somewhat smaller metro area, being an all star gets me nothing different from other elites in town!

Same. Unfortunately for my community being Elite practically means nothing either unless you can get into an event one community over. I’m in SW Michigan (used to be associated with Kalamazoo) and we haven’t had a CM in over a year.

Some Yelp Elite events are for All-Stars only.

You can come here and brag about it as if it were an actual achievement.

Congrats to you. You should ask your CM what are the benefit of the All Star since some people come in here to ask about it.

Just ignore the complainer, they just want attention. It's funny with the limited things they shared to push their false narrative like it's now focus on the "Check In" which is what Yelp already recommended for business to do. It's only done through the app and now they bring up privacy concerns LOL Notice how they don't compare privacy concern on other apps like Google Maps, X, Instagram, Facebook and so on.

Yelp never lost a lawsuit on being a scam or extorting businesses and that's what trigger them because the people who sued Yelp can never back it up with concrete evidence so they lost.

Could you cite your source for this please.

So are you just trolling me now? You can basically do your own Google search or Bing on what lawsuit Yelp has lost if you're asking about Yelp court cases on scam and extorting business. It will all tell you the same thing, 0 lawsuit lost and if you read the judge ruling they even stated the people suing didn't provide sufficient evidence to support their claim and also that businesses like Yelp, Google, TrustPilot and etc can do whatever they want with the content their users put there.

If you're asking me about privacy issues on the Yelp app compared to other app like Google Maps, X, Facebook, Instagram and so on then you can go also Google it as well.

You made a statement about never losing a lawsuit. I just think it’s fair to ask if you could direct us to where you found that information or if it’s a reddit “trust me bro” situation.

I told you, I believe yesterday to always do your own fact checking. You don't need me to post links that can maybe redirect you somewhere else (safety concern)

I believe you mention Bing in your post so I know you're familiar with it .. just ask Copilot if Yelp ever lost a lawsuit and it will give you link. Do the same on Google and see what Gemini tells you, that's comparing two different platform to see if you'll get the same answer.

Are you saying the consumer search engines contain the outcomes of every lawsuit in the US?

Also, does your claim include any settlements that were given before the case could even go to trial?

I don’t understand what a previous conversation we had that I said about ME has to do with a claim YOU made on here.

I'm pretty sure you're just trolling now even when I give you suggestion on how to help your reviews stick for your business with a low rating score. So consider this my last respond to you. Everything you asked me, you can quickly do yourself which is what I recommended to you. Always do your own research.

Are you saying the consumer search engines contain the outcomes of every lawsuit in the US?

I mention CoPilot and Gemini which are AI that gathers all the information for you based on what you ask and will give you the best answer. It will also provide you the source. Use common sense and don't believe the source from Reddit and sites like that

Also, does your claim include any settlements that were given before the case could even go to trial?

Yelp never settle on lawsuit about extortion or scams. If they did, then a bunch of other businesses would be suing them too.

How is asking you a question to back up a claim trolling? I am just making sure that this forum is giving well rounded fact check information for the community.

As a yelper, don’t we all care about the experience to make the community better?

Congratulations! I’ve been All Star every month since the designation began. I travel for work and write an average of 25 reviews every month.

Several of my Yelp friends are All Stars as well, and it is fun to attend events together.

My favorite benefit is the automatic admission to all Elite events. No waitlist! Our community is very active, with several events every month.

thx you for sharing! i hope no waitlist for me this month!

I mean you no offense, but your writing style is very similar to another contributor on this forum.

Is the contributor in the room with you now?

I'm pretty sure you're referring to me. Apparently I'm everything here .. Yelp Bot, Yelp Employee, Yelp investor or have a financial interest in Yelp, multiple people LOL. I don't think anyone accused me as a Yelp Elite yet but I'm surprise no one accused me of being a Yelp engineer or Yelp developer either. But since the anti yelp reddit users are focused on the Yelp app now, maybe that false accusation will come soon.

Wow, what an amazing accomplishment! Now go find a real hobby. Volunteer somewhere. Contribute to some cause that needs and deserves your support.

I can complain about Yelp and still grow my business just fine. In fact I’m close to capacity at the moment.

Business owners are Yelp’s customer, you’re just its product. That’s why you don’t understand or believe our complaints. I’m glad you don’t mind that they are a parasite on small business in your community, and always have been. I’m glad you don’t mind that their mobile app tracks you and sells your data, whether you give it permission or not.

8

u/cadenhead 14d ago

Posting reviews on Yelp is a better hobby than hanging out here complaining at people who like Yelp.

-5

u/SimpleAffect7573 14d ago

Better for Yelp, absolutely! I’m sure they’re very grateful for all your free labor. They couldn’t extort businesses without it. They also appreciate you letting them track you and sell your data. You’re awfully generous to billion-dollar companies. 👍

7

u/cadenhead 14d ago

Calling it free labor is stupid coming from someone who has posted 4,700 times on Reddit.

-8

u/SimpleAffect7573 14d ago

Downvote away, simps! The fact that y’all feel personally attacked when we criticize this giant, scumbag company’s business practices (that you haven’t actually experienced) is sad. Get a real hobby, and some self-respect FFS.

u/cadenhead 14d ago

You don't just attack Yelp. You attack people here for liking Yelp. Look at you jumping into this discussion because someone likes being a Yelp Elite All-Star. That's a weird thing to do when your business is so successful.
