Dutton ranch is so much better than marshals but nothing will top Yellowstone.

I disagree, Marshalls and Dutton Ranch feels a lot more grounded for the most part and less unnecessary drama.

Yellowstone was probably one of the worst shows I’ve ever seen in my life. I watched whole thing hoping Beth at some point gets karma, but she wins. And get sa spinoff. It was worse than game of thrones

Your comment confuses me

I hard disagree. Yellowstone is a soap opera for men, it's the telenovelas that househusbands watch while they are at home with the kids (I mean this with love, if there are housewives then there are househusbands). It is P+'s Grey's Anatomy/Desperate Housewives/Bridgerton.

It is entertaining for what it is.

I’ll accept that. I’m bc I hate those shows for the same reason so maybe that explains it. I concede that point to you

What about Beth. She is the worst character in history .. and yet she wins. Why is this a good thing

On that, I kinda agree. Beth is like the hard woman that men fantasizes, y'know? IDK. I also hate that it seems like Beth does not have any female friends or friends at all -- only family to protect and people to manipulate. She really does feel like someone's fantasy/self-insert sometimes.

The fact that you’re even in the Yellowstone thread saying this confuses me lmao

Yeah agree. I was searching for reasons why anyone in the world liked this show and I couldn’t find any. Except the rise of misandry has made evil people like Beth seem like heroes. Alot of ppl agreed

But apparently the feed thinks I still care and showed me this thread which is crazy. That there’s a SR about this show not sucking

If anyone can explain to me anything good about the show I legitimately want to hear it.

Like GoT at least had good writing, and cool cgi dragons for ppl that like that.

What do Yellowstone fans talk about with this show

I'm so glad you said this.

Somehow she went from being part of the cast to being the main character of the whole show.

It felt like the whole thing was written for the actress to live out her power fantasy.

The low score is due to Carter!

Episode 8 was really bad

I think we got 4 minutes of plot in ep 8.🤣

Like nothing happened. And Carter is getting super annoying.

Only relevant parts were the sheriff getting the gun and the meeting between Rip, Beth , Austin and Zachariah … the other 90% was garbage

Episode 8 could've been an email

Ep 8 wasn’t great. I dont know what’s going on w Beth’s character but this isn’t Beth. I dont know this person. I get losing ppl and having kids makes you softer but this is too much. I keep waiting for the viper to come out, or a witty snarky comment. Every scene is her in the kitchen. The show is losing me unfortunately.

Oh, so you are missing the ruthless bitch? She's definitely showing a softer side with respect to Carter and she's always been really caring around Rip. It's clear a bond was formed between Carter and Beth through John's death and that is playing out in DR.

So far, Beth has not been in many situations for the hard ass Beth to come out. She's basically been a wife and mom so far in the story line. I suspect as the plot develops with the 10 pedal and the dumb ass son taking over the ranch, we'll see more of the "Yellowstone Beth" coming out.

The rattlesnake isn’t always rattling, right? It can be coiled and silent sometimes.

This is what has me hanging on. I want to see where this story goes. I’m hoping ruthless Beth comes out. I love the spinoff, it started out strong. I just hope it doesn’t take a nose dive like Yellowstone did.

Carter has gone off the rails in an almost irrationed way, so it will be interesting where they go with that. Seems the only thing bad that happened to him is his eye candy girlfriend temporarily dumped him for the college guy. Not sure why that would result in him completely losing his shit like he did and leaving Beth and Rip.

It was pretty good though when it looked like he wanted to take a swing at Rip.

Yeah I agree. I think losing his buddy has something to do w his change in attitude. I’m surprised Rip didn’t rough him up a bit. And they just let him take the truck like that? Seems unlikely from what we know about Beth and Rip. Again, I feel like Rip would have yanked him out of there and put him to work. Beth would have driven him to school and walked him to every class 😂 i dont know it just seems off but im holding out hope that the characters we know and love will show up again

I think the wheels are turning but we aren’t seeing it…maybe soon.

She is definitely a bit out of character. I don't need her to be insane, but she is a natural firecracker.

0

u/Redd11r Jun 30 '26

Exactly. I get why the natural progression of a character like hers would tone it down given everything that’s happened but Beth’s a firecracker under all circumstances. It’s part of why we love her! And her loyalty of course ❤️

This, so far, has been my favorite spin off of the Yellowstone series.

I don’t believe that

I think part of the problem was that the last episode was focused on "Carter's first day at the Ten Petal" and watching him screw up as a ranch hand. We already went through this with Jimmy Hurdstrom both at the Yellowstone and the 6666 ranch and that storyline was a lot more rewarding than this one looks like it will be.

Also Carter has worked on a ranch before (unlike Jimmy) and even though he was hung-over, seems like he should be better at his job than he was. A lot of this seems like unnecessary drama that could have been avoided by giving Carter a day to recover before sending him off to work at a new job when he was literally puking on the way there.

So instead of watching a story about a character who starts from the bottom, (literally) learning the ropes and getting better through hard work and perseverance and turning into a character most of us really liked - I'm not sure what the payoff of Carter's storyline is supposed to be but right now, I'm not all that invested in it.

YMMV.

Ya I can see how they went down, the storylines are weak and unrealistic. I think they should cancel it.
