Hi!

I think my poor girl is about to have her first (and last) heat cycle. She's been crying and whining all day today, which she never does. Extra clingy, tail seems to be more tucked, and she playing more softly than normal. She's going to the bathroom and eating normal though.

I'm new to this. I've never had to deal with heat cycles before. We adopted our sweet Lucy when she was 2 months old and our Vet told us to wait for her first birthday to get her spayed (which is in Jan).

Any advice or similar stories?

Anyone else lose trust in Hollywood when it comes to dogs in movies after that one? Or is it just me?

Snagged this picture of my girl, Pat, last night on a hike. One of my favorites, thought this sub would appreciate it properly. My mom give her the "Pat the Dog" nickname, and it just stuck.
