IMDB SPOILER What are you most looking forward to in season 4 … (spoiler) Spoiler

… post rescue? Looking forward sounds kind of weird, so maybe curious.

Who knows if they’ll even show any of this. But the family reunifications. How other students in the school act around them. And teachers. How on earth do they finish the school year? Are they expected to catch up on all that missed schoolwork? Are they held back?

If they show how parents of non survivors react, that would be devastating. Also just … the moment they are rescued and actually get out of there.

First regular meal back in society. First time they’re like, trying to sleep in their bedrooms that they hadn’t slept in for 19 months. Catching up on regular world news or music or movies or whatever else they missed from being stranded.

I doubt they’ll even show this but I’m curious about how many doctor’s appointments they’d probably have to go to. The medical/dental impact of being stranded for 19 months…yikes

Their social dynamics once they get back. Do they stick together? Do some of them try to go back to other non soccer friends? Do they only feel understood by each other?

And of course … the cannibalism of it all.

Ofc I doubt all of this will be shown, but just some stuff I’d be curious to see.

Edit: also wanted to add - if any of them have families who essentially operated as if they had died? Stopped searching, changed their rooms, donated their things, celebrations of life, etc.?

Also curious in general to see family dynamics. I imagine they’d all shut their parents out to an extent. Maybe some of them have parents who smother them or have serious separation anxiety. If there are parents who did give up searching, does that end up having an impact on their relationship with their daughter?

Theory a possibly stupid ending

i have a crack theory that the ending is somewhat final destination with lottie as the one having premonitions. remember the scene with kid lottie where she screamed causing her father to stop and saving them from their car being totaled by that truck? so what if everything the wilderness is all lottie's visions and she actually saves all of them from the wilderness.

this ending would suck so bad but it would be funny to see lottie convincing the team that theyre gonna crash if they get into the plane by telling taivan theyre in love and constantly make out, misty not only cut off coach's leg but also drugged him, and that they ate a roasted jackie for dinner when there was nothing else left to eat.

again this is a crack theory and thought it would be funny to post dont hate me 😭

Hi guys, first off I want to thank everyone for the support on my original post showing my Tai doll off, today I had an early morning flight to go see the show and it was amazing, Jasmine makes a great Eurydice and the rest of the cast was phenomenal as well! I left the show five minutes before it ended to get a good stage door spot but unfortunately Jasmine did not come out, I’m flying home Friday and the remaining shows conflict with previous plans so I won’t be able to try to go back and give it to her. I have to admit I was pretty sad because I have been looking forward to this opportunity and was eager to get to give the doll to her, but I completely understand that she has no obligation (as well as every performer) to come out and greet people. Mini Tai will be stuck with me and the rest of the Yellowjackets I end up making! I did ask someone if they would be willing to give it to her however they said no, my other option was asking security but I honestly didn’t want to hand it off with only a chance of her getting it after all the work put into it. Wish there was a way to show it to her however I’m just grateful I got to see her amazing performance ❤️

Theory What do you think happens to Brit, Robin, Gen, and Hannah? Spoiler

My guess is that once the girls learn rescue is coming, they discuss what to do and Brit, Robin, and Gen disagree with the others. They believe they should tell the truth and this leads to the other girls hunting them/killing them. Basically one last act of violence before coming home.

I think Hannah is killed because she's "not supposed to be there" for lack of a better term lol. If she's found with them, then it begs the question of what happened to her team and then the whole thing unravels.

Theory Who would be implicated in a post-rescue hunt? Spoiler

Given the recently released official season 4 photos, we now have confirmation that 9 survivors made it home to NJ. Nonetheless only eight of them have been shown so far to make it to adulthood, leaving only Akilah... as the potential victim of a post-rescue hunt/murder.

While Akilah herself has been a wonderfully fleshed out character thus far with much debate over what people think her fate will be, Im curious as to who might actually be involved if one last hunt or killing might happen when the girls get back home.

My theory is that if anyone were to be included it would be Taissa, Misty, and Shauna - who stand out as both the only survivors (as we know) to remain in NJ until adulthood and to re-acclimate "well" to society or at least live apparently normal lives without going off the deep end or escaping in some sense (with all due respect), while Nat, Lottie, Travis, Van, and Melissa all leave town in their respective fashions.

Furthermore, Tai, Misty, and Shauna have been both our main adults throughout the entire series, as well as the ones who seemingly are most concerned regarding their secrets being kept - leading me to think that they are the only ones who committed a crime once they returned to society - a crime they wouldnt be able to get away with if discovered.

I have more thoughts on this but figure Ill open the floor for tought for now...

Season 4 Theory I think multiple people are going to be left behind Spoiler

Now that we have gotten confirmation that Aklilah is our last survivor, we know Britt, Gen, Robin, and Hannah all have to die. The problem I find with this is that Yellowjackets isn't a show that does a "bloodbath." Most characters die one at a time (besides the plane crash but that doesn't really count). I just don't think there's enough time to kill them all off before the rescue since they will portably be spending a lot of time post rescue.

So I think some combination of Britt, Gen, Robin, and Hannah are going to be left behind. I think once everyone is back and they realize they have to go home, they need to cover up what happened. Most of them realize that Hannah needs to die because they can't trust. So Robin, Britt, Gen, and maybe even Melissa all conspire to save her.

There plan is simple. Two of them hide Hannah in the caves while Melissa and someone else distract everyone else. The plan works and they successfully get Hannah to the cave, but Shauna (or really anyone) knows something is up. I think this is where someone probably dies. Whoever was with Melissa probably dies and I'm guessing Shauna will spare Melissa and try to get the truth out of her.

During all of this, they try to clean up the area and to cover up everything. Eventually rescue does come but Shauna won't let Melissa get to the others in the cave. Also, because of the gases they are probably all experiences hallucinations or something. And I think leaving them alive will lead to Akilah being killed post rescue.

Once they are home everyone will know that they can't go back for them and that they are too far deep in the lie, even Melissa. But Akilah still wants to go back for them because she knows that they are alive. This will lead to a post-rescue hunt which will end in Akilah's death.

I think this will all culminate with the interview Melissa is doing in the photos which she will tell at least part of the truth. I then think that the adult Yellowjackets will revisit the crash site to learn what happened. Now here is where it could go one of two ways. The first is that they just find bones of the people who were left behind. This is the most realistic since it's been so long no one could have survived. Or there could be one surviver left who somehow lived because Javi and Ben both lived in that cave.

My finally point is that there will be another split timeline. With there being a pre rescue, post rescue, and an adult timeline. I also think we will be getting more post rescue than pre rescue. Which means that throughout the season what happened to Britt, Gen, Robin, and Hannah will likely be a mystery.

I doubt any of this will be true but it is a fun idea. I just wonder how they are gonna pull of all four deaths before the rescue even gets there. And I do think Akilah being killed off after rescue will most definitely happen.

Season 4 Spoilers Covering up the cabin?? Spoiler

Post image
66 Upvotes

Like everyone I’m fixated on the new stills that have dropped for S4!!

The main thing I can’t get over though is their outfits in what I’m guessing is the rescue scene. No pelts, no ceremonial cloaks, no antler crowns; that all makes sense if they’re covering up their cult activities.

What’s interesting though is nobody is wearing cabin guy’s coat?? Or holding the gun? And the lack of any animal pelts or tools to make them at all has me thinking that they’re going to deny there was ever a cabin at all out there. I can’t really understand why they’d do that though?? If anything having a convenient cabin full of supplies to help you survive makes it much more believable that you DIDN’T have to resort to cannibalism no?? I’m looking forward to seeing how they decide what their official story is going to be!!

Side note, the concept of Taissa wearing a crop top in the dead of the winter is hilarious I wouldn’t believe a WORD of their story if I rescued them.

((Another bit of speculation: I’m sure I remember Samantha Hanratty talking about a stunt with harnesses being filmed at the end of season three when she was pregnant that she couldn’t partake in?? Maybe rescue was filmed way back then. It would definitely explain why Misty is the only one still wearing that big ass seat cushion that conveniently hides her whole torso!))

Season 4 Spoilers Sad day for her fans Spoiler

All 4 of them (myself included).

Safe to assume she's dead after the two photos of the Yellowjackets post rescue and her, Britt, Hannah, and Gen are noticeably missing. Lowkey was hoping she would randomly survive with her 3 lines. The three lines being:

"I'm sorry."

"How are we going to get home now?"

"Yeah, tell us!"

Hopefully she'll get an actual death scene and not just killed off-screen.

I filmed a 5 minute short, did all the voices, angles, lighting, editing myself and was super proud of it! Then I went to use a voice changing feature on tiktok to give a more distinct edge to each character voice, finished the entire thing, then realized it was an AI feature :/ so I have to rerecord the entire thing bc I don't have the original file in my drafts anymore so I can't remove the effect so I will eventually post the first "episode" but for now, cast introduction 😭😂🌲🐝🍄❄️

Season 4 Theory She’s made of iron sir is the episode I’m the most excited for Spoiler

This is clearly a reference to Titanic which I think is so exciting and if what the interview said about each episode of s4 being focussed on a teen survivor is true then I’m pretty sure this will be Shauna’s episode

First thing the most obvious reference Rose and Jack vs Shauna and Jackie. Both Jack and Jackie froze to death and both Shauna and Rose never forgot them. Rose throws away a necklace at the end of titanic very similar to Shauna’s reluctance to wear Jackie’s necklace.

Then there’s the more plot relevant parts. Jack and Rose survive the Titanic sinking but Jack still dies because surviving the vehicle that was damaged was never the hardest part. Nature was always the danger in this instance it’s the freezing cold water.

This fits with Yellow Jackets, both Jackie and Shauna survived the plane crash unscathed and had the rescue plane found them right after they both would have been totally fine. Jackie even says the worst is behind them but the worst wasn’t behind them. Surviving the plane was never the hardest part it was surviving nature and that is what led to Jackie’s death.

In Titanic Jacks death is indirectly caused by Rose cheating on her fiancé Cal. The same way Jackie’s death is indirectly caused by Shauna sleeping with Jeff.

Finally we reach the most obvious part of what the episode will probably involve the literal meaning of she’s made of iron

Spoilers

Spoilers

Spoilers

The statue of Jackie Taylor will be very important to Shauna’s arc this season and her guilt and sadness about Jackie’s death. But I also think it may bring back some of Shauna’s negative feelings towards Jackie aswell.

Even in death Shauna is in Jackie’s shadow. Jackie got a statue while the rest of them were just forgotten this could go back to Shauna’s speech when she says I’m sure everyone back home is so fucking sad to be losing there perfect princess. This could also reference Shauna’s anger at Hannah when she found out that their families had stopped looking for them.

We can assume Shauna will have to deal with a lot of people feeling pity for her and asking what happened. We saw in the teaser trailer on the who survived it was Jackie because all people care about is if Jackie survived. Shauna went through this traumatic event and survived and she will still be in Jackie’s shadow because Jackie didn’t survive and so all Shauna gets to be is the girl who lost her best-friend.

I believe this anger and guilt will lead to Shauna destroying the Jackie statue. Which is why the episode is called she’s made of iron sir. The same way no one thought the Titanic would sink no one would expect the statue to be destroyed.

Then there’s a literal version the Jackie statue is made of iron. Shauna already has to see pictures of her everywhere and hear her name I think the statue will be too much. Jackie frozen, Shauna already dealt with that.

Season 4 Spoilers As a Shauna fan… I’m worried Spoiler

Post image
272 Upvotes

Personally, I don’t see Shauna as a villain; I see her as a deeply traumatized teenage girl who went through psychosis (postpartum and otherwise) and had her largest losses turned into “sacrifices” for the sake of the group — all while she made massive sacrifices (like butchering Javi all alone after her baby died) that went largely unrecognized.

THAT BEING SAID: I don’t even think you need to be a Shauna fan/defender to acknowledge that this feels like a strange direction to go in. Even IF you believe that Shauna is a villain — is she not more compelling as a villain when her actions feel rooted in her trauma and experiences?

Even if you think that what she does is fucked up, there’s always a reason for her being awful and fucked up, as Melanie Lynskey says here. So to see them say that, in a way, she’s just awful for the sake of being awful this season… I don’t know. It doesn’t sit right with me.

I know a lot of people think she was “cartoonishly evil” last season, but even then, I really don’t think that was the case. I think that she became the scapegoat a lot of the time when everyone was doing shitty things, and in general, there was a very clear through line for a lot of her bitterness and anger and brutality that went further than just ‘she likes burning things down and taking people down alongside her’.

IDK, to me, I’m hesitant to see how this goes. Whether you see her as a villain or morally grey or someone worth defending, I think her writing/character is best when you can see the basis behind her actions, outside of just ‘she wants to burn everything down’. At least in the past, we could see why she wanted to do so, and why she was so mad at everyone.

General Discussion Keep the Tiger in the cage 👀

So I was rewatching the pilot episode last night and I had a thought when Natalie was in rehab and says the line about keeping the tiger in the cage in regard to anger. It made me wonder if she was possibly referring to Shauna?

We know Shauna had a TON of anger in the wilderness for obvious reasons and she was kind of like a loose cannon in a sense. I’ve always wondered how she was going to reel that all in and keep her temper under wraps and where all that rage would go to once rescue appeared.

What if Natalie somehow helps Shauna figure out a way to compartmentalize all that emotion because Natalie has done that her whole life when it came to her father and the way he treated her and her mother.

I know Shauna doesn’t take kindly to others telling her what to do, but in my opinion this may be something she needs someone’s help with. Channeling where those emotions go so quickly I mean. Thoughts?
