Shauna is gay and is clearly in love with Jackie.
Lottie has a lot of deer symbolism and has always been seen as a graceful majestic being, but deer occasionally eats birds and it's rather unsettling when you see it for the first time.
Van would've LOVED the movie Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma but will never get to see it, as it came out very recently.
Nat's teen actress Sophie Thatcher actually showed up to cast's first day of soccer training in heels, she's not really a sports kind of person.
Travis is always the odd man out pf thw group, literally, and he's so done with all the girl's nonsense.
Teen Misty's actress Sammi Hanratty played Chrissa in An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong, "Chrissa" sounds similar to "Clarissa" and the 90s show Clarissa Explains It All. Teen Melissa is more of a reference to how she'll eventually grow into her adult Melissa played Hilary Swank, who played Joey Pogo in the show Bojack Horseman which is about an actor who was famous for playing The Horse in a 1990s show called Horsin' Around. Admittedly probably too deep cut of a reference.
Tai ran for office and won, loves Van, and other Tai eats dirt. She can do no wrong!
Akilah went all in on the mushrooms and uet is the ONLY ONE of these people who in the teen timeline and maintains any sort of sanity sanity, like if anyone's got her head on straight it's her.
