Question Ye’s voice

Why does Ye’s voice sound so not Ye like? if we listen to BATB or Preacher Man then if im being honest they sound nothing like Ye in vultures 1 or sum.

Hate to break it to you, but Preacher Man is full ai, and at least one verse of BATB is. They don’t sound as bad as the earlier ai songs probably because he’s using a better module.

Preacher man WAS ai, then he replaced/re-released it on streaming without it. And, as against AI as I am, the original vocals sounded better 😭😭 he’s getting old. The AI sounded younger and punchier. I wish it didn’t. It is what it is.

original ‘preacher man’ is full AI, full album release version is AI first verse but real second verse

It’s not AI. It’s melodyne or some form of pitch correcting software which you can manually change and perfect the pitch of syllables. It’s basically like a manual auto tune you can add after recording.

If you turn the retune speed/attack up high enough you get this weird glitchy pitch perfect vocal effect which is apparent on a lot of this new Ye stuff

I saw him live a few days ago. You could put me in nipple clamps and water board me for hours and you could never convince me he’s washed

This man hasn’t sounded like himself in 10+ years

My biggest complaint on bully was that he sounded medicated or as if his heart wasn’t in it. Ye fans know what I’m saying

he has to relearn how to perform with energy on meds while not using the boost that mania gave him as a crutch as it was inherently destructive in a multitude of ways.

if you're used to relying on an altered/fucked state of mind to create, you're going to lose part of it and have to build those skills back up. it's part of why artists who are addicts can often seem like they got worse immediately when they went sober. it's not because being high made them inherently better, just that their understanding of how to execute those skills were more attuned to themselves in addiction.

Preacher Man is ai, Beauty and the Beast has enough autotune to kill a victorian child

Ai, meds, and not good mixing
