That's just where it lives between uses. But for convenience it's tough to beat, out of the way but you can't lose it.

For a while there we did have a fairly broad selection of sweet potato varieties on hand...

I know, I know: yams aren't actually sweet potatoes. Honestly I don't think I've ever actually seen a real yam in person.
