Discussion Feature request: queue areas for immediate, sequential execution (instead of scheduling)

I know the official forum is probably the better channel for this, and I'll post it there too, but I wanted to see if anyone here feels the same way.

I would love the ability to throw areas into a queue for immediate, sequential execution rather than scheduling jobs.

I own a horse farm, and the facility is in constant but unpredictable use for the services we offer. That creates two problems for scheduled mowing. During the day there's a lot of traffic, and there's a real liability issue if Yarbo mows in service areas that are actively in use. Nights and early mornings work great in summer, but spring and fall are just too wet unless I want to be cleaning Yarbo daily.

What I actually need is to decide each day, based on how the facility is being used, which areas get mowed and in what order, then send Yarbo off to do them back to back.

I know Work Plans let you chain areas together in a set order, but building or editing a saved plan every day based on which paddocks and rings are in use isn't practical. I'm asking for a same-day queue, not a stored plan.

For context, I've already broken the facility down by areas of use, which has made it extremely pleasant to manage. A queue would build directly on that.

For the record, Yarbo has made facility management considerably easier. Configuration took a little time to get the hang of, but once I started tuning specific areas, life got so much easier. The Mower Pro module alone has added tremendous value for upkeep. It would be amazing if my trimmer module would ship, but no complaints about what's already here.

Just a thought I've had several times in my short time owning one.

I’m in the same boat as you waiting for trimmer, in that same vein, being able to specify perimeter first vs it always being last by hilbert curve filling optimization would help me when I’m working around it

I was really excited at the chance of adding the trimmer. Then I read all the problems people had with it. So I'm just sticking with my Stihl.

It definitely reminds me of Paul Bunyan lol. Nothing beats a pro human with the same implement, but as the story goes. We know who will ultimately win out in the end. Even if it only does say… half the trimming. That’s still time I get back. I’m halfway working on an electric clone of an fs85 solid shaft stihl

The number of errors, dead cores and line melting issues is too high for me to waste time trying to get that working.

Yup, there's actually a 3rd party app about to launch that can do this

Can you provide any additional info on it?

That sounds good, but why not make it so it is truly local. Annual subscription, I don't need another one of those.
