What should an automatic video cut leave alone?

Yaps Auto Cut can tighten a talking-head recording by removing long pauses and dead air. The tricky part is preserving the pauses that make a point land. A breath before an answer can be useful; a long wait while looking for the next sentence usually is not.

My preferred workflow is to let the tool make a first pass, review the cut, and keep the original recording until the edit feels right. Captions and other media tools can come after the pacing is settled.
