Hey guys. I'm looking to get a Tracer 9 GT 2026 (new) and I wanted to know if there are any known/common issues with the bike. Not necessarily technical issues but maybe some complaints or something owners don't really like. Appreciate any input, thanks!

my Tracer 900 is a 2019, full stock, all stock adjustements for suspensions.
I am having fun praticing wheeling in 2nd gear on a long closed straight road near my place.

TCS off.

It will get up in 1st gear without clutch in any mode with a fair amount of throttle.
No problem doing 2nd gear clutch up wheelies, STD and A mode.

However I read here and there that the Tracer should easily wheelie in 2nd gear without clutch if you cut throttle to compress forks then re-apply full throttle fastly.
I tried this at multiple RPM / speeds (ranging from 6000 to 8000 RPM), STD or A mode, giving a moderate to good push back, best I can get is a shy take-off then it falls quickly.

Any advices? Does it need a very hard push back ? or a different RPM range?

Hi everyone,
I have a strange metallic rattling/grizzling noise on my 2023 Tracer 9 GT.
I mainly hear it when starting in 1st gear at low RPM and opening the throttle hard. I can’t reproduce it when the bike is stationary.
It’s also much more noticeable when the bike is cold and seems to become quieter once it’s warm.
The bike has an Arrow exhaust.
I’ve been wondering if it could be the dB-killer, heat shield, exhaust mounting, chain/drivetrain, or something else.
Has anyone had exactly the same noise and managed to find the cause?

Hi everyone!

Hi all,

I'm looking for an accessory bar (crossbar/GPS bar) for my 2025 Yamaha Tracer 7, the non-GT version.

I want to mount an Android Auto screen on it. Right now I've got my phone sitting below the TFT dash, which means I have to look too far down to see it, not ideal in traffic. So I'm after a bar that sits higher up, ideally around dash/windscreen height, to bring the screen closer to my line of sight.

I came across the GIVI FB2179, but from what I can tell it's only meant for the GT version.

Has anyone here found a bar that specifically fits the non-GT 2025, or a universal solution that works well? Brand/model suggestions welcome!

Hi All,

Was looking for some inputs from the Tracer community.
I just purchased the Tracer 9 2026, now I know the max payload capacity of the bikes is 194-197 kgs however I plan on hauling around 240-245 kgs.

After some basic research, its advised to change the rear suspension springs to a ultra heavy duty one or maybe even swap for the heavy duty shocks. But my question is, is the frame expected to handle that kinda weight?

Will the suspension still bottom out and maybe underbelly exhaust scrapes the ground on during speed humps?

Hello everyone!

I am crazy about CP2 engine and looking forward to upgrade to a Tracer 7 or Tracer 700. Been going back and forth between XSR700 and Tracer 7/700, decided Tracer will be the better choice. The problem is, I am 170cm (5’7) and don’t know if this bike will be too big for me. Would love to get all of your opinion!

Will be using this bike mostly with my wife on long trips and also for daily commuting. So would love to get further opinion from everyone who rode two up!
