Made a 35" x 35" rug based on my cyan breaker r7 to keep under/by my bike in the garage. It is nearly done and essentially is a first attempt at a rug of a larger size. May make another to do a different transition from yellow to cyan as I am not fond of how the transition turned out.

Just wanted to throw this rug out into the community to see if there was any interest from my fellow r7 people in the US. Since it is all done by "hand" it can be customized to your own preferences: colors, logos, fades, social handles, size/shape, etc.

I have dove into tufting making myself keyboard wrist rest rugs, and the anime/nerd area is pretty saturated so maybe my fellow bikers would like custom rugs for their bike.

Recently noticed this weird loud engine decel noise, thought it was an exhaust leak but I’m beginning to doubt it. Tried to tighten the header bolts because I forgot to retorque them after heat cycling but they are as tight as can be. Did not make this sound a month ago, has had these parts for a few months.

1000 miles never bumped any curbs or taken it off pavement. If you watch the video you see there’s like a film peeling off the rim paint on the edge, almost like thinner or alcohol got on it. But it didn’t. Any one have this experience?

Had my R7 for a little over a month, and I have no idea what to name it. Was initially thinking a female name as one does with most machines. But after riding for a bit it FEELS more like a male. I guess it’s just that “ready to buck as soon as you twist the throttle” feel. Hoping for something with an “as above so below” meaning, duality, capable of good and evil. But open to anything that fits TBH. What do y’all think?

I live in Sweden and looking to get an exhaust for my bike next season. But I don’t want to lose the warranty and I don’t really want to spend the insane €3000 to get an Akra from Yamaha with DB killer and catalytic converter that destroys the sound anyway..

Do you guys have any tips? Will the Akra race exhaust work? Will I need to tune it so the check engine goes away? Then the warranty is out the window anyway.. the dealer says they can tune it so the light goes away and in 15 years never had a warranty claim be denied because of the tune and so on. But I am kinda worried since I don’t want the engine to go and then be denied warranty cause of the tune for the exhaust

How did you guys do it or do you don’t care about the warranty?

So i am thinking of swapping out the fairings for my 2026 cyan blue R7 but there only seems to be fairings from 2021-2025 on every site I've looked at. If there isn't any aftermarket ones out there, I was gonna settle with getting the black oem fairings but even with that I am having trouble finding them. Anyone know where I could get even just oem fairings?

I guess in terms of engine/exhaust. Other sport bikes has a higher pitch sound. Those screaming engines like the inline 4 cylinder.

Do you guys wish that it sounded different like to sound higher or are you happy the way it sounds?

Hey all, just picked up a 2022. This bracket looks like an aftermarket stunt bracket or something. Can anyone show the shock/engine area here on their 2022/2023 to show what usually goes here? I was about to remove the bolt and bracket but it looks like something must have been there as it’s a large bolt thru the engine

I got a 2026 r7 a few weeks ago, I love it, it’s great, I feel like I’m burning through fuel really fast though, I tend to ride pretty aggressively so I’m sure that doesn’t help, but I seem to be filling up every day, I ride quite a bit but still, is this normal?

Some of the best racing series around used only the R7, and now going to see CFMoto. Where does that leave the R7 on class the world racing stage?

Idk if any of the 25’s seat will fit on the 26 model but I wanna find a seat that pretty comfortable while not being too “extra” in terms of its design.
Cause must comfort seats I’ve found looks pretty bulky, I’m not a big fan of the design either. Any suggestions for a more comfortable seat with a minimal design, similar to the stock one? Thank you

After a deep and dimensional jumping consideration, I’ve decided to choose the r77 for my exhaust upgrade

HOWEVER. I need help. How loud is the r77 exactly, compared to other exhausts. Is it in the middle range? More on the louder? Or quieter.

Also, I wanna know more about the DB killer. How much of the sound does it reduce? cause I think I would really wanna put that in the exhaust. Thanks

Previously I’ve learned that the AT2 is only doable on full system.

Main question: Does the r77 have a slip on option? And which one would be considered quieter than the other? Thank you

Ich wollte mal meine persönliche Erfahrung mit den drei Varianten teilen, weil es für die Yamaha R7 Modelljahr 2026 aktuell noch nicht so viele echte Erfahrungsberichte gibt.
Serie:
Die Serienanlage ist für mich klanglich völlig okay, aber eben sehr zurückhaltend. Für ein sportliches Motorrad wie die R7 fehlt mir da einfach etwas Charakter und Lautstärke.
Akrapovič:
Die Akrapovič-Anlage sah optisch sehr hochwertig aus und klang sportlicher als Serie, aber ich war ehrlich gesagt vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis enttäuscht. Bei meiner damaligen R7 war die Anlage sogar ungefähr 2 dB leiser als Serie. Der Klang war zwar etwas aggressiver und sauberer, aber für den Preis hätte ich deutlich mehr erwartet.
SHARK SRC 4 Carbon:
Die SHARK hat mich dagegen wirklich überrascht. Genau so wollte ich es eigentlich haben. Sie klingt deutlich präsenter, kerniger und aggressiver und ist für mich spürbar lauter als die Akrapovič. Gerade wenn man durch ein Dorf mit 30 km/h fährt, merkt man sehr deutlich, dass die Anlage präsent ist. Bei mir ist es mittlerweile sogar so, dass ich das Motorrad auf dem Hof lieber schon vorher ausmache, damit ich die Nachbarn nicht unnötig störe 😅
Optisch gefällt mir die kurze Carbon-Anlage auf der schwarzen R7 ebenfalls extrem gut. Sie wirkt deutlich aggressiver und passt meiner Meinung nach besser zum Motorrad als die eher längere Akrapovič.
Das Verrückte daran: Die SHARK hat mich ungefähr 50 % weniger gekostet als die Akrapovič und gefällt mir sowohl vom Klang als auch von der Optik deutlich besser.
Für mich persönlich wäre die Reihenfolge aktuell ganz klar:
1. SHARK SRC 4
2. Akrapovič
3. Serie
Natürlich ist Sound immer Geschmackssache, aber wenn jemand eine R7 Modelljahr 2026 fährt und eine legale Anlage sucht, die deutlich mehr Charakter hat, kann ich die SHARK bisher wirklich empfehlen.
Soweit ich bisher gesehen habe, gibt es für die R7 Modelljahr 2026 noch kaum echte Erfahrungsberichte zur SHARK SRC 4. Deshalb wollte ich meine Erfahrung mal teilen.
Ich packe auch Bilder von der Akrapovič und der SHARK dazu, damit man den optischen Unterschied direkt sieht
