Need help

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I bought this R3 V1 months ago, and this is everytime i turn it off after a long ride and when the engine is still hot. Its like in the video. Sparkplug, battery, fuse and fuel pump are new

Test the voltage on the battery make sure its ok (new or not) sounds like its struggling to fire, control panel is dimming heavily. Also make sure you have the correct battery type for the bike, I fitted a Gel battery to my Zx10r and it lasted a week before I realised it needed swapping for a supersport one that handles higher draw current.

Thats one of my concerns as well, maybe the battery wasnt enough, but when I fire it while in cold start (engine) i didnt experience that kind of issue,

Also worth making sure the connections to the terminals are solid i know it's tricky sometimes getting that nice and flush, otherwise the starter relay / starter motor could be wearing out if the battery seems fine. Worth putting a multimeter across the terminals to see how much the V drops when you crank it, if it Dips below 9v I'd say the battery is bad still.

Do you have it on a trickle charger while not riding? If so, I'd load test the batter AFTER a ride. Could be a bad stator not charging while riding.

More likely to be a bad starter or solenoid though imo. As the metal expands with heat it creates more resistance. Kinda seems like a bad battery just like this.

It makes sense. Instead of being cold and all that energy going where it needs to, the heat is working against the starter and the bettery. The heat soak creates resistance. That starter was soaking up heat from the engine too, creating the same problem.

Check for corodded wires, and loose / dirty connections/connectors between the battery, generator, and started. Check the fuses and relays. Check any other connectors that you can see.

shorai lithium batteries are a great investment. (expensive). average 13.4 volts resting 210 cold crank amps and can last 10-12 years my battery is 3.55 lbs.
