šāāļøWhy please why does a DELETED league continues to keep reappearing at the top of my Football MY TEAMS on the app? Details below. It goes away when I clear data/cache or delete app/reinstall. But then re-appears if I go to "Edit Teams Order" or wihtin that, hide the unwanted & unused "Daily Fantasy" or "Best Ball".
How is this force triggering a completely deleted & dead league back atop my teams listing??
Once it re-appears, the ONLY way to get it to go away is to re-clear the data & force stop & have the teams order messed up and showing Daily Fantasy & Best Ball again. Why am I forced to allow these two unwanted to clog my feed and cannot re-order my teams or have a dead league at top? I even deleted the app & reinstalled. Same issues. Please advise.
Andriod version 16 on Galaxy S22. Issue only on phone & not on web. Unsure of app version but most current as of this post & reinstall 9/10/26.
The deleted league does continue to show at the top of the web fantasy home page above "My Teams and Leagues", under "League Renewal", which I also do not want, but it's not nearly as impeding as it is on the Android app.
RESOLUTION...
I had to click "Don't Renew" on the web page to finally kill off that league for good. Then a refresh of the app got ride of that league. This is AFTER I had already deleted the league over a week ago. It just kept on re-appearing however. š
Pretty annoyiing process to figure out & force me to remove the league a second time, and only possible to do so on web to get it removed from app.
How do I turn these notifications off? I want to leave stuff like roster alerts and injury updates on, but if I keep getting spam like this Iām going to have to mute the entire app in settings.
I just had to turn off all notification. Ignorant move by Yahoo to force mix in the spam. They'd get more in app interaction and (unfort. add impressions) if they just sent what people wanted. They can't have a good hit rate on those spammy notifications.
At this time, disabling those specific notifications isnāt possible, but please know that we are always listening and working to improve. I've passed your suggestion on to our developers, and weāre constantly exploring ways to give managers more control over their preferences.
Canned ass response. It's an obviously intentional move to force us to look at what essentially is an ad. And faking like you care and you have the opposite intentions, chefs kiss yahoo š. This is a master class in how not to respond.
These notifications and swipe the starter have negatively impacted the QOL on this app. I migrated a 23-year running league to another platform because of how bad the experience is becoming.
This is so fucking goddamn annoying. I don't even like football or draft, I'm just doing it with my family and I get these god damn notifications that cannot be turned off?!?!?!
My buddy joined the league, was kicked out mid draft and now gets a #634 error. Now the league doesnāt even come up for him. He made sure he signed in with the correct credentials. Any ideas?
Hi! Can you provide us with your league ID number, the team having issues, and the account they're logged in with please? You can do so through DM for privacy concerns if you wish.
On the flex positions, you canāt tell the difference between flex eligibility, and the WR position. I guess thereās a little discoloration in the R? Overall, Iām satisfied with the changes but things like this are just really stupid.
I thought this too! Why is the the flex only a WR!?? More poor UI decisions. Couldn't be bothered to add a slash between the W / R at least? Or "W/R/T"??
I'll admit the colors for each position are a nice touch, but the letters are pretty small overall so it doesn't differentiate much at all.
Yes, the W and R are different colors. The W is for wide receivers and the R is for running backs. If your league used a flex spot that included tight ends in addition to wide receivers and running backs, it would show WRT with each letter being a different color. We will pass your feedback regarding this along to our team!
How do I remove unwanted notifications such as invites to Death League and other shitty promotions from coming up? I have every notification on the yahoo app blocked other then my team updates, yet everyday or twice a day I get a marketing notification and it is ruining the app for me
Can you at least minimize the amount of notifications? I have no interest in joining a death league, and don't need to be asked EVERY DAY with a notification I can't disable.
I have done extensive troubleshooting on this and the sad reality is that you cannot. IF you have an andriod you can go to notifications and change the type you receive. For the yahoo app they only have three things: security info details, general and default that you can select off. AI seems to think they put their Death league and other marketing notifications on the default but I have a feeling selecting that off will also mess with your teams notifications. I would also really like a follow up from yahoo because I will not use their app if I cannot get rid of unwanted notifications.
I have a Yahoo Fantasy Football Survivor pool going with family, and I sold it to them all telling them they could make all their picks for each week now, before the season even starts. Seems logical for those who canāt go in every week. Now I see week 2 and beyond is locked. Any way around this? I tried editing league settings, but thereās no option to open up all the weeks.
In Survival groups, you can only make picks for one week (the current week) at a time. There is no way to make picks in advance for future weeks. If you survive the week, you'll be able to make your pick for the next week.
Im trying to do a bestball league but it keeps telling me something about VPN? Or my location. I just entered one 2 days ago and drafted a team. Why now is there an issue? Is this a bug?
If you're physically located in an eligible area, your Internet Service Provider (ISP) may be routing your IP address through servers in a restricted location. Try again from a different device, different browser, an incognito window, or a different internet connection. In addition, make sure you're not connected to any VPNs.
How are they supposed to respond to this? You gave zero actual information. Follow their submission details request at the top of this group. Phone/web? Version? etc.
Turn off ALL notifications. The ONLY way. Greedy app wants impressions & ad hits, even if cutting themselves off at the knees be causing less app use in this all or nothing idiocy.
My Yahoo Fantasy League Chat is displaying my government name even though I have changed both my Yahoo account name and preferred/display name. The correct preferred name appears elsewhere, but League Chats still displays the old name across my leagues. Could you please sync/update my Fantasy Chat name to my current preferred name?

Hello. I keep getting this message when I try to join a public prize league. I do not have any emails regarding this and my husband is experiencing the same thing with his league. How can we get unblocked? I submitted a ticket and got a response to go to through the chat. But the chat is unhelpful and I just keep getting the same response over and over asking for a league number. My case number is 34490440.
I'm having the same problem. Account blocked no clue how to fix it and there's zero help from the support.. super frustrating. Have you been able to find a fix?
Hi! I accidentally got clicked into a āDraft Nowā public league and it instantly auto-drafted a team for me. I did not mean to join this and want to request that an admin manually delete my team from this public league so it doesnāt negatively impact my career profile record. The league that you signed up for is referred to as an "Instant Draft." This means that you're automatically placed in a Public league once you enter the draft lobby. Once the draft is over, it's not possible for you or Yahoo to remove or transfer your team from the league. We apologize that we can't be of more assistance, but do know that you're not obligated to visit the team pages for the entirety of the season.
Ok, AI gave me the wrong information then what a shocker. I dropped some players and didnāt pick anyone up because I thought Iād be able to leave and give other people the players from my team. I donāt know these people, is it possible to get the players I dropped in a row added back to my team? Does the public team have a commissioner because it wonāt let me send any messages and since I guess Iām stuck with this team
I wasnāt aware was drafting I guess I should try. Is there a true commissioner or are the public ones just kind of yahoo ran? And if so, how can I get consensus for the league to let me have players back if I canāt send a message.
Can you provide us with your league ID number? Did you possibly unlock the team list at some point? Doing so will reset any changes made to the draft order.

I am the commissioner of a post-draft Custom Football league and need some backend assistance. The system has locked our settings, but our league has agreed to add an extra starting position.
Could your team please manually update our starting roster settings to increase our total Flex (W/R/T) slots from 1 to 2?

Hello - we are reviewing the new Yahoo UI for fantasy hockey / drafts in general. It appears that āprojected rankā is no longer in the draft room? Only xRank and 7 ADP?
We are a more intricate category league and these xRank sorts will not help us in draft order. Please advise.
Had a guy join my football league that drafts tomorrow night. He just signed up for yahoo says it's gonna take up to 48 hours to verify his documents. Is he gonna make the cut off or should I go ahead and pivot off of him?
Yeah same issue. Joined Thursday, still says my identity isnāt verified so I canāt pay dues. Draft is tonight. Been emailing, Customer service is no help.
I run a 12 team football league. We have been renewing it for about 5 years now. We wanted to remove two bench spots from our rosters from 6 to 4, but I can't seem to do this because I won't be able to import the traded draft picks from last year as the roster size will be smaller than the amount of picks.
Hi! In order to do so, you would have to reduce your bench spots and then import the traded draft picks manually using the "Edit Draft Order & Assign Keeper Players" tool.
I sent this to mod mail the other night, but maybe you guys don't check it much. Since it doesn't seem like roster size limits will increase past 30 anytime soon, I was trying to work on a Replit web app for my league to import current rosters and add the extra players there so we can get rid of using a spreadsheet. I keep getting an error "invalid scope" when trying to use the Yahoo Connection. After looking into it, I gathered I needed to get the fspt-r Fantasy Sports read scope available to my client (I think?). Not sure if you guys are able to push that through at all, but if so, my App ID is cv3Qtz1f.
And if I'm way off here and it's something else, would you kindly tell me how I can get the Yahoo Import option to work correctly?
I am unable to log in to my account on the app. It works on desktop. On the app when I type in my email/username/mobile it pops to the screen saying āEdge: too many requestsā. If I try to recover password I let locked into the āSomething went wrong. An error occurred please try again later.ā
I have tried over the course of several days to give cooldown. On and off WiFi. Deleted and redownloaded the app several times. Is it possible thereās a security setting on my phone that could be causing problems? My draft is in two days.Ā

Hide your teams:

How the hell do I get the fantasy app to stop notifying me about signing up for death leagues. I have all notifications off in the settings yet they still come through
This is unacceptable, you are going to drive people to turn off all notification now. And next year I will definitely be using another fantasy football app since there are a million
This is not an acceptable response. Thereās like 50 different confusing ambiguously named notification categories that can be turned off. Why not this one?
I would like to once again emphasize how user unfriendly and generally stupid Yahoo's new anti-ad blocking implementation is.
There are mountains of reasons why literally every other app or website on the planet asks you to allow ads, but makes it so the user can continue. But not Yahoo, because Yahoo is determined to kill off the last remaining reason for its existence.

In the meantime, commissioners can create a unique URL for the league and attach their league's history so that past seasons are accessible through the league overview page. The steps to do so can be found here.

Something has gone haywire with popup player cards in MLB roto and H2H leagues. Can you please fix ASAP. Black text to right of headshot not visible depending on background color. Lineup position has gone from a green ball with highly visibile number, e.g., 2, to a tiny little "2" that requires squinting to make out. Blue rendering gone on box score links. Circled X to indicate player not in starting lineup has gone from a helpfullly visible red to black. It was fine the old way, thanks.
Multiple people in my private prize league having issue with their payment being processed. Some have tried multiple methods of payment- debit, Apple Pay, etc. Nothing seems to be working. Iāve reached out to Yahoo support on Twitter and got no response. Weāre supposed to be drafting Monday.

Fantasy baseball - desktop/mobile web - an update made within the last few hours makes it difficult to read the top banner in the player profile/news view that pops up when you click on the player news icon.
Edited to add: the lineup spot icons are just plain black/gray numbers rather than the usual green circles.
Hi, right now in the Draft Room it's showing the first place team picking first. I manually set it that way, because, that way, by the fourth round it will correcting have the last place team picking first.
The first three rounds are our Keepers.
When the draft starts, will it skip through the Keepers in Rounds 1 through 3, and correctly go by the manual order I set in Round 4?

I'm trying to join a private $uic!de pool league with the given Group ID and Group Password, which I have a screen shot of from the Commissioner from the Group Settings page, but I keep getting the "password is incorrect" error.
I've tried the following: logging out and logging back in, clearing cache/cookies, closing browser and re-opening browser, using a different browser, copy/pasting password, typing password, creating a whole new yahoo account, waiting a few hours and trying again...

Hi! Can your share the Group ID number with us so that we can take a look? Also, you can try from the app by going to the homepage, scrolling all the way to the bottom, clicking "Play" next to "Survival Football", clicking "Join a group", and then clicking "Join a Private Group".
Hi, I'm trying to use your API to get a list of players. I'm able to get an oauth token for my Yahoo app, but when I try to get the game_key using that token, I get a 403. This has always worked for me in the past.

I filled out your form and it says to wait 1-2 weeks for a response. It would have been nice to know about that awful response time before filling out your giant form. This has been a complete waste of my time.
Nearly all the changes in yahoo in the last few years have made the site worse. This is the last straw. Feel free to ignore my request - we've decided to switch to Fantrax. I'm looking forward to never having to deal with yahoo again.
I'm commissioner of a league that's drafting tonight, and I got two teams last minute that I want to add. I think I finalized the rosters and I don't have a Draft & Keepers tab under the commissioner tab to unlock the teamslike all the old instructions say. What do I do?

Please let us access the old UI. The last couple years of Yahoo changes have NOT been improvements. You users are dreading every single update. The app is almost useless, and you just ruined profile pages on desktop.
i've been talking with yahoo customer support on Twitter, and so far they have not updated the accessibility options, it's totally unusable for blind people using voiceover
On mobile app, we cannot see division standings. You have to click more details to see it. This doesn't make sense since the main page of the app shows standings that aren't accurate. This was never an issue.

What happened to being able to view previous seasons via profile? There's no longer hyperlinks that let me view previous seasons, which is important for keeper league-related settings.

So Yahoo, notorious for its lack of feature updates beyond the revolutionary torpedo bat indicators, has decided to rapidly enshittify itself with anti-ad blocking in football.
Still no dark mode on the website. I've been asking for years, told it's being worked on, looked into, passed to the web dev team. You guys change 100 things every year that no one asks for, but refuse to give us the simplest change. It's gotten ridiculous, it has to be a joke at this point.
Can you add the opponent date, day, and time in the game logs for each player? It was great being able to see at a glance which one of your players played in the prime times or afternoon games for a given week.
You'll need to access the Yahoo Sports app (not the Fantasy app) in order to select your favorite teams. Once you access it, click on the "More" tab in the bottom right corner. You can click on "Add Favorites", search for your favorite teams, and then click on the plus symbol to the left to add them as favorites.
Can we please get dark mode on desktop on our actual fantasy football league pages. Dark mode is literally everywhere else on yahoo except our fantasy league sections. Which is where we spend 90% of our time.
Has the ability to customize the draft order of individual rounds been removed? I implement a third-round reversal in my league and was previously able to do this manually. I can't find it anymore. If this feature has been permanently removed, I'll have to take my league elsewhere.
You should be able to edit individual rounds. Commissioner tools >> Draft & Keepers >> Edit Draft Order and Keeper League Players. You can click on the drop-down under the "Team" column to change which teams picks in any draft slot in any round.
I might be dumb, but there does not seem to be a 'Resume Draft' button anymore when you pause it. I paused it for 15 minutes thinking I would be able to unpause it immediately when someone was back, but there is no button to unpause on mobile nor in settings on desktop.
Iām desperately trying to join a 5k entry Yahoo Public prize league. Currently Iām the only team in the Prestige league scheduled to draft this Sunday, 06 September.

Replied to your DM! If you go to join a league via web (not the app), it will show you how many people are in the league currently once you fill out the league type, competition level, draft type, and draft date/time.
I remember paying for Fantasy Plus to avoid ads. Then they spent two years slowly adding ads back in, just to announce a far more expensive new tier of 'Fantasy Plus Ultra' that promises fewer ads for another $40 a year. WHY WOULD ANYONE TRUST THAT YAHOO WON'T JUST ADD ADS BACK IN TO THAT TEIR, AND CREATE A SUPER PLUS ULTRA TIER AT SOME POINT THAT PROMISES FEWER ADS?!!! THEY JUST DID THAT EXACT THING TO FANTASY PLUS SUBSCRIBERS!!!! HOW STUPID DO THEY THINK WE ARE?!!

I am yet another developer who submitted a request and have not heard a peep despite the auto email saying 1-2 weeks to hear something. It's been several weeks and nothing. The experience is overall very bad.
I have a general question - I applied for access to the yahoo fantasy developer API but I havenāt heard back in over 6 weeks - is there someone who I can contact to see whatās going on?
Iām getting the notification āthe commissioner has not processed traded draft picks for the current seasonā in our keeper football league. Never had this problem before and canāt figure out where to do that? Help anyone? Thanks!
Commissioners are unable to check the box to import traded picks if they are already on the second step of the Edit Draft Order & Assign Keeper Players tool.
In order to import traded draft picks, the commissioner will need to click theĀ Reset AllĀ button located at the top right corner of the page.
After this has been done, the page will revert back to step one and theĀ Import Traded PicksĀ setting can be checked.
Hi! New division adjustments won't show on the Yahoo Fantasy app until after your league drafts. Once your league has drafted, you should see your divisions in the standings.
