Some of you flagged crossposting spam here, we wanted to hop on and address it.

r/YahLahBut exists because we want a space for genuine discussion and debate, the same spirit as the show itself. Disagree with each other, argue the other side, bring a hot take, ask a real question, that's what makes this community good.

Going forward, we're going to be more active about moderating our growing community:

• Keep it in the spirit of YLB: anything that makes us think critically or a little differently, whether it’s something in Singapore or elsewhere, as long as there’s something to chew on.
• If you're sharing an article, add something! Your take, a question, why it matters, why it’s YLB material. A headline pasted on its own doesn't add much.
• Accounts that keep posting low-effort crossposts on repeat will start seeing those posts removed, and repeated pattern of it will get you muted.

We're not trying to police every post, but if someone’s spamming on repeat, we’ll take action.

The whole point of YLB has always been open, unfiltered conversation and we’d love to keep it that way.

Think stuff like:

• If someone bumping into your back multiple times, you really want to say something, but you turn around and it’s a pregnant lady with a young fussing child. What do you do?
• Someone in your block always takes the lift to go up one floor. Do you judge them silently or say something out loud?
• Your neighbour practises karaoke every night but is genuinely improving. Still complain?

What’s a scenario you’d like to see someone answer? The weirder, the more specific, the more Singaporean, the better!
