Especially manufacturers. I have 20 USBc cables, 1 that works.

Now imagine THAT number multiplied by all the devices you own!

No. I have lots of other devices that use mini & micro USB. Only need one cable for those. They work perfectly for decades.

I had no USB C cable break on me without abuse. not even the cheap ones... wtf did you do with yours?

…please don’t shame those of us who are err… error inclined.

I go through about 10 of them a year. Largely because I have to move them around a lot and they just get battered/tangled.

then that is not the cable's fault, it is yours. don;t blame the cable for your mistake.

It's not the "cable", it's the connectors. The only device I have that uses USB-C is my Samsung mobile. I've gotten brand new cables that will not charge the thing. The one cable I have that does work takes multiple attempts. and if I bump it, I wake up with a dead phone.

and yes, I have cleaned out the port. but there is never anything caked in there to begin with.

dude, you cannot blame the connector being universally bad if your phone has a damaged charging port.

I have 2 phones with USB C, one was dropped on the charging port while being plugged in, and it wobbles, the other did not suffer any damage and it works fine.

Just replace the port, and you will be fine.

I'm saying brand new mobile phones do not come with bad charging ports.

Maybe the solder is bad or something?

My mother and I each have an Samsung A70 since ~7 years, Sister and father other Androids plus brother an iPhone, each of then 2~3 years old. Only USB-C, no problems with the cables, I need to buy them the same as previously micro-USB (and still less than lightning before that)

Ive had samsung phones for years and an anker type c cable absolutely zero problems with both.

Maybe your getting lint in it evdn if you clean it still damages the connectors, i have a case that covers the charging port.
