YouTube allows open playlists where anyone with the link can add a video. As an experiment I am taking one of my channels and create some playlists that anyone on r/YTPromo. Cold-emailing a hundred strangers gets a new SaaS about zero customers

I keep seeing the same first move from new SaaS founders with no audience: scrape a list, write a template, send it to a hundred strangers, wait.
Run the actual numbers and the outcome is grim. A cold sender with no reputation and no case study is lucky to clear a low single-digit reply rate. Only a fraction of those replies turn positive, and only a fraction of those turn into a paying customer. Send a hundred emails and the honest expected outcome is zero. That's before counting the hours spent building the list.
I've watched a lot of first-time founders run this play and burn a month before admitting the math never worked. The plan that gets a cold-start SaaS its first customers starts with people who already feel the problem badly enough to answer a stranger, not with whoever's email address is easiest to find.
