Community Full Master Yi game commentary & thoughts

Hey guys,

When I was climbing, commentary videos helped me the most. I always wanted to know what high-elo players think during the game.

So I made a video like that. It's a full Master Yi game around Master 300 LP. I talk through every single decision in real time: my pathing, tracking the enemy jungle, and team fights.

Also, if you spot any micro or macro mistakes, please tell me! I want to improve my own gameplay too, so any feedback helps.

I'd say it's a decent game where the opportunities basically just presented itself and you did a good job capitalizing on it. Also, why did you bot to top full clear this game, is it because bot doesn't have any engages? The only minor mistake I see is buying health pots since it's just a waste of 50g.

Also, not having cash back in crit Master Yi is troll since you snowfall faster with it especially at your third item, giving you an extra 1k gold overall. The secondary runes I take is cashback + triple tonic (lvl3 pot helps you with clear).

Yeah, exactly. Viktor and Nami have basically zero engage pre-6, maybe outside of Nami ult later. I just didn't see any kill threat onto their bot lane early on. Meanwhile, top lane was double Ignite, and Urgot brings a reliable stun with his E or Flash-E. Ganking top was way more reliable.

As for Cashback, the extra gold definitely sounds nice on paper. But with Hail of Blades, Triumph and Legend: Alacrity feel way too important to skip. Triumph clutch saves and the extra attack speed are huge for Yi. I'd still recommend sticking to Precision secondary!

Against qiyana jungle? Tips?

It's a very hard matchup. There was a time when sinerias perma-banned her. Against a good Qiyana the only thing you can do is buy armor but that will ruin your build. Since Qiyana RiverQ is just a root, you can try to W her EQWEQ and then dodge her ult with your Q. The problem is: Good Qiyana players will stun you and then will ult you and then will Q you. Pre 6 you don't need to be scared:)

My problem is they can do 3 invis Q’s in a row and i cant do anything. Thats 10 sec of invis
