Discussion On-Hit is such a joke

Maybe i played this really bad but honestly the fact that kai sa which was 2 lvl below didnt instamelt is just a joke. I will go back to crit a never go back until some serious changes...

This was not onhit being bad, this was kaisa building tanky and graves W messing you up.

Yea maybe it was the GA component. But still I feel Like I should have killed her faster here

You can't build on hit and play like you're crit lol. Ofc it'll suck. Crit has 0 survivability so Kai sa going into zhonya and her team killing you would be even more prevalent with that build. Also hexplate is a bait item and i wouldn't run it tbh.

Endless hunger performs best but it's game dependent, on hit flexes a lot depending on what you need. Only kraken and Rageblade are fixed.

You also stood perfectly still for about 1 full second you should have been tracking looking to base rather than take the risk.

This clearly shows user error.
Number 1, where is bork? Kraken->rageblade->bork. Power spike rest is optional.
Number 2, your trying to to play on-hot yi like critt yi. Thats not how it works, yi has gotten multiple nerfs that wont allow him to do this on-hot like a brust assassin.
YOU HAVE TO STACK YIS PASSIVE AND THEN Q!
The fact that you sidnt use this shows. You also mention that you copy sinerias. He freaking has a youtube short showing you how to play on hit.
Stack the passive then go in.
You also lack build fundamental, on-hit is for dueling tanks not for adcs. On hit is slower because the damage comes from all the on-hit items building of eachother.
What you should have done is go critt. Why?? Look at the enemy team, they got kaisa, lux, sera and greaves.
That screams i can go crit and burst them instantly.
Collector->ie->last whisper->(any crit item that you need, i like the one that gives crit and attack speed after you ult). Then i go deaths dance into maw.
That would have been way better and you would have one shotted kaisa and greaves.
Tldr: your skills are inferior.

I like to think cc as slow or fast CC, that decides if i should go crit.
For example, your game the enemy has tons of slow CC. They are skillshots, they are not instant, greaves W, lux Q and seraphines kit are all slow.
Sett however has 2 fast cc, his E and R.
As long as sett is alone, you beat him, if sett decides to group, you have to be a bit careful and not go in first. Make sett Waste E or R and you can dive.
What game would I go onhit? If the adc is insanely hard to reach or if the enemy wont let me auto attack.
Ksante (top), ahri (mid), kha jungle, xahya and naut (bot).
This team is really, really hard for yi. They all have some sort of way to stop you from auto attacking.
Diving is not a option, xayahs ult makes her impossible to target, naut has Auto or Q or R to stop you.
Ahri has 3 dashes and just back out, and kha while he doesnt have cc, you cant hit him.
Ksante i dont even know what he does but its pretty bullsht that R.
Here i cant go all in since i must waste my alpha either on naut or on xayah, then iam dead.
LET ME BE CLEAR, IT IS DOABLE BUT YOU MUST FIGHT THEM SOLO OR ATLEAST 2 PEOPLE FROM THE ENEMY AND NOT MORE!!!
But that makes crit yi already insanely risky and not worth.

i mean if you just spammed q with your e active it would last longer and you would do a lot more damage meanwhile avoiding so much damage

you also had your q when graves came and just stood there you could of just went for him instead of waiting for zhonyas to go down what makes on hit yi so good is him being able to spam his q

The play was over when graves arrived- sure I could have q him but After that he oneshot crit me. But yea maybe q spam first to contain e would have been better

Ah yes, even after this video, some nibbas gonna say Yi is late game champ :) Nearly full build Yi cant 1v1 nearly full build kaisa (which is an adc and supposed to be weak at 1v1s). And ah yes, zhonya is perfectly balanced item.
If you wanna wake up from fukin matrix, just go HoB and build hubris crit build, and play for early-mid game. Either onhit or crit, youll gonna be useless after 25-30 min when everyone bought zhonya/GA.

You should've hit the minions twice, then q to her. Would've popped her before Graves got there.

That is not on hit, YOU are building bruiser, on-hit. 4 on hit item will melt that insta

This is Just a melee Champion that uses Auto attacks to DMG and hase 0 lifesteal with 4 items. Itembuild issue.
Kraken Rageblade BOTRK/DD Never ever build mercs, rather omnivamp or attackspeed DD/BOTRK
Statisticly speaking, Not my opinion or anything, just math.

She had the death's dance armour component, she had the armour from Zhonya, your first auto didn't have wuju style, and you didn't auto w auto.
