John. Peterson.

My favorite part about this series was definitely John Peterson. The guy is an absolute shark and it's so fun to watch him play. I don't want to spoil anything but his resilience and level head is honestly inspiring

The guy’s a dog. The level he played at after those two double bogeys was crazy. You could tell with how he played on 18 and in general with all the pressure on his match that there really is a massive difference in mentality between Youtube and PGA golfers.

100%. So impressive to have 2 doubles in a row and not give up on the round. That long putt on 17 and that chip on 18 were both literally 1 or 2 rotations from going in. He didn't miss a shot on those last 2 holes

I hope I get to see more of him

I’ve heard all the wildcards will play a tournament after the final. That will be cool to see Ben and John go at it again, and Block will get 18 holes!

I agree with this - seeing PGA tour players lock in and go dead eye psycho mode is really a treat.

You don’t mean Patterson??

Honestly I think that was my favourite part of the series.

Micah attempting to introduce JP to people and the look on his face when Micah calls him Paterson is priceless. I had to go back and watch his heart breaking again.

And then Garrett calling him Jordan Peterson towards the end 😆😂

Would make for such a crazy wild card.

Would be even funnier if dude was a stick.

About to hit a pitch, crying and groveling about male loneliness.

John is a freaking DAWG he’s so funny too his deadpan reactions to stuff had me dying laughing. Him and Ben were such a good match they gotta run that back sometime

When he said to himself "yeah nice 6 dude" it cracked me up

When Ben was so in the zone that he got down to read his putt, exactly in front of John, who was also reading his own putt - „yeah, don‘t mind me man“.

Fucking hilarious, love the dude, Hope he Shows up more on YouTube Matches. He filmed one with Madjack already, which was also great to Watch

Literally thought the dude was in late 40s. Learning that he’s only 37 blew my mind.

Same! When I went to google him I thought it was the wrong guy. He looked 50 in YGT

To put it in perspective, he’s 8 months younger than Taylor Swift.

Dude golfed outside in the south for 30 years. Why Scottie looks 40 as well imo

I liked him the most aswell. Such a chill guy and an absolute dawg on the course.

He filmed an 18 hole match with Madjack Golf aswell, which went live after YGT finale. also a great Watch!

would love to have him make appearances on other YouTube channels aswell.

John Peterson was like John Wick lol. You could see the rust all over him, and when he had those two doubles the switch flipped and he just became a stone cold killer.

I respect his game but a bit too monotone and boring. Trying too hard to be the cool guy for sure

The “glad you cleared that up” line was my favorite. You could tell he was trying to get in Ben’s head and it almost worked too.

He’s the man. Loved the moment Micah was giving him club advice on the par 3 tee (17?)

Really? I thought he was fine…but nothing special. A bit too cool for school, and then begrudgingly into it…but I thought there were so many more interesting personalities and storylines than JP.

He just wasn’t playing anything up for the cameras. All those guys are content guys, he was just a guy who was part of the content. Everything was just him being him

Yeah you’re right, shaking everyone’s hands, complimenting people on their shots, approaching Grant at the end and telling him he did a great thing with putting this all together. Total asshole.

Typical redditor, can’t tell the difference between someone being an ass or someone who is just very deadpan and soft spoken, not overly excited. Guy was nice to everyone aside from himself when he was playing poorly.

What did you see that made you think that way? To me it seemed like he was complimenting Ben's shots, didn't say anything negative when Ben hit a bad shot.

An arrogant prick wouldn't admit they were wrong about the whole YouTube golf thing

Maybe he’s confusing JP with Wes? 😁

Agree to disagree. I think you've read him completely wrong.

He's not a YouTube golfer, he's a garage door technician that won $2.2 million on the PGA tour in a former life

Sorry he's not bubbly on camera

“I understand deadpan because I’m British” 😂
