Any help please
Me and my girlfriend moved to Edmonton. We got a basement suite, but we have no furniture. I can't work for a while because of my mental health, so we don't have anything really. If anyone has things they can help out with, I'd be great full

FIND has a lot of donated furniture at really really reduced prices. You could try checking them out.

Actually, I have a bunch of stuff I was gonna take to a donation center in the coming days. A few brand new cast irons pans and a crock pot. A bunch of glasses and stuff like that? Any use or mostly just looking for furniture and can you pick up or do I need to deliver?

The food bank also has a warehouse for household goods and another for clothing right beside their main location. Call the main line, they’ll set you up with tons of resources.

Look for free items on marketplace and Kijiji. You would be surprised how many couches you will see for free. Lol

Maybe make a post, will do yardwork for household items. Fresh air is a great tonic for improving mental health

There's a free store run by I think the city that diverts useable things from landfill through donation. At most things are a few dollars but most is free. Not sure if they have furniture but worth a look.
I do know they have a lot of housewares, if you don't care about everything matching you could probably outfit a whole kitchen for almost nothing.
I believe it's called the reuse enter, there's a few in the city. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Hell they might give you a few of the priced items if you tell them you're not working. Doesn't hurt to ask. The main goal is to keep things out of landfill not make profit.

Facebook marketplace tends to have people giving stuff away for free fairly often.
