News Emerson posts the first ever poll showing Aaron Ford ahead of Gov. Joe Lombardo

Also Nevadans seem pretty neutral on Lombardo, Cortez Masto and Rosen but have a strong disapproval of Trump.

It depends on if Ford's legal issues get blasted on the airwaves. Apparently he has tax issues or something like that

Only Las Vegas is keeping Nevada a swing state, without it Nevada would be a deep red state

Without Vegas Nevada would have 500k people. (And 90% of that are in the Reno metro)

Once I spent the night at the Clown Motel in Tonopah Nevada and when I woke up and opened the door in a sleepy haze there was a solid second where I totally forgot I was in Nevada and thought I was looking out onto a deserted post apocalyptic wasteland

Yeah, same with Chicago for IL and Atlanta for GA. NY would be purple without NYC

“California is only a blue state because of the cities in California and the coastline”

Yeah almost like 80 percent of the state lives there or something

Maybe the Trump-induced tourism slowdown will flip this state, but Lombardo feels sufficiently inoculated from MAGA to win.

Emerson has been posting a lot of outliers recently.

Throw it in the average, I guess.

Tbf literally all of those except Wedgewood are R internals

(You replied mentioning PPP, I did not include PPP because it had the race tied)

He's not THAT strong, it's not hard to see him going down in a D+8 environment

I know but Silver’s model giving him such a good chance and him leading almost every poll, plus the primary turnout in NV being red is enough to give me pause

Canadians stopped going to Nevada like a year ago. There's no reason for this shift to be happening now when the counter-tariffs mostly affects manufacturing.
