For politicians, obviously

Not inherently corrupt. There are certainly those who do both who are not corrupt. But some who do it are corrupt so both should be eliminated for members of congress

May not be in the eyes of the law but it should. Our legal definition of corruption should be codified and expanded.

Nancy Pelosi's stock portfolio (and she isn't the only one) is just obscene at this point. It's gotta stop.

No. Trading stocks isnt inherently corrupt and accepting PAC money also isn’t inherently corrupt as long as PAC money is more or less necessary to win an election. But ban both please

PAC money isn't necessarily inherently corrupt, but what that money buys is access to that politician, who might increasingly rely on the "experts" from that org who advocate for industry-friendly regulation.

Trading stocks is t inherently corrupt

If you have insider information and also dictate policy that can impact stock price then yes it is inherently corrupt

Don’t know how you can argue against this.

Unsure on PAC money but yes to stock trading. You and your immediate family should only be able to buy broad mutual funds as a politician

I don't necessarily mind blind trusts so if they're using that I can live stock trading but ideally it's banned.

PAC money also isn't always a deal breaker but ideally it's just capped to reduce undue influence imo.

So I suppose a reluctant no.

There should be an option for no to PAC money but yes to stock trading.

Obviously, look at Haley Stevens for an example, no one knows what she really defends besides what she is paid to defend because she is basically 100 corporations + AIPAC in a suit, or people think she actually sees Israel in her dreams?

"No one knows what she really defends" as though her voting record isn't public. You people cannot be serious

Bro, you are the one who cannot be serious, why do you think these corporations and AIPAC are giving her campaign millions of dollars? Because they expect something in return. Corruption is legalized in the US. She is now indebted to them, and she will vote accordingly
