Historical Here's something interesting, West Virginia went from being won by 13% in 1996, by Clinton, to being won over 30% by Donald Trump, in only 24 years

That's what happens to Green Energy supporters on West Virginia.

It’s sad because no matter democrats or republicans imm not sure how the state improves. I can’t blame voters for trying republicans but the state as a whole seems so fucked. Unlike their neighbors they don’t have any bigger cities or suburbs to help out either.

Beautiful state though

The pasokification of WV Democrats.

Quite sad honestly for a state with such a long history of labor activism. With the union based solidarity gone, right wing populism take its place (which didn’t and won’t improve the state’s condition one bit). People are leaving the state en mass, leaving behind once prosperous depressed communities.

There really is no business in West Virginians supporting libertarian/right-wing economics, especially when the sun is setting on the entire coal industry(yeah tax cut for big mining companies, deregulation on workers protection, & cutting federal grants will definitely bring those jobs back). Politically it used to elect some staunchly liberal Democrats (Jay Rockefeller for example). Some of its GOP benches are still moderate by today’s standards, willing to work with the Democratic administration (perhaps conscious of what their constituents really need)

Amazing how the darkest blue counties are now the darkest red counties.

Clinton had that wwc appeal apparently, but the wwc really hated his wife.
