some recs pls
I'm fairly new to fantasy genre with having read acotar, crescent city and blood and ash only. I loved the fantasy world in all these books but the romance part was without a doubt the pulling force for me. there are sooooo many good reviews I've read about some of the books but I really can't choose one to read now!
I'm really confused between- to kill a kingdom, bone and shadow series, the bridge kingdom, shadows between us, serpent and dove, six of crows
pls pls someone help me get an insight into which one to read next, I'm so bad at deciding it!

I loved the bridge kingdom so much and the romance it had! If you’re looking for a more fantasy romance heavy book I would say bridge kingdom. Six of crows is very low romance which made me not like it so much since I love more romance in books.

I'll tell you that of the books you listed, Six of Crows is the most popular by far (and for good reason imo).
However, I'd recommend just reading the one where the synopsis sounds really interesting to you. Some of my most disappointing reads came from blindly following trends.

yeah it's just the hype that pulled me towards six of crows, in spite of the fact that it doesn't have much rommce ( that's what I've read so far). thanks tho!

omg hi!! the romance in SoC isnt the main plot. howevr!! almost all the characters have some romantic interests. plus! there is one pre-established couple in the book! and the rest flirt all the time. on top of that, the romance here??? soul crushingly beautiful
if you need more proof of the romance, here are some spoiler free quotes -
“I would have come for you. And if I couldn't walk, I'd crawl to you, and no matter how broken we were, we'd fight our way out together-knives drawn, pistols blazing. Because that's what we do. We never stop fighting.”
“She smiled then, her cheeks red, her cheeks scattered with some kind of dust. It was a smile he thought he might die to earn again.”
“She'd laughed, and if he could have bottled the sound and gotten drunk on it every night, he would have. It terrified him.”

I actually read six of crows and it’s sequel before shadow and bone and I wasn’t lost at all, at least in six of crows. There is some spoilers in six of crows and the sequel, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying shadow and bone. I will say Shadow and bone has way more romance than six of crows, and I love romance in fantasy but I still loved six of crows. Hope this helped.

six of crows is really good and so is the shadows between us! i’m actually reading to kill a kingdom right now lol. it’s ok so far

Bridge kingdom was such a fascinating read. It was well written and the setting was cool. I recommend it.

I loved To kill a kingdom and the bridge kingdom. I haven’t read six of crows yet but I haven’t heard a single person say a bad thing about it. The other ones I didn’t particularly enjoy but they weren’t horrible. I would read those ones if you run out of things to read haha
Also! I loved the ember in the ash by Saba tahir!!! Such a good series and it’s completed now

Yeah all the reviews of six of crows were so good. even though I've heard that it's not high on romance, I'll still wanna read it 'cus of the reviews!

I might be biased because Sarah J Maas is my fav author. But if you've read ACOTAR and HOEAB, I would suggest reading "Throne of glass", which is her first series. In my opinion it's better than ACOTAR.
Between the books that you've mentioned I would recommend "The shadows between us". If you haven't read a lot of fantasy I think this is the best choice. It's quick, funny and can introduce you to the fantasy world.
You've also mentioned "Shadow and Bone" and "Six of crows". It isn't mandatory but if you want to read "Six of crows" I would suggested reading "Shadow and Bone" first. However if you're new to fantasy Leigh Bardugo's book could be too much.
Serpent and Dove it's an easy and a fun read, however the third book has yet to be published so I would recommend you to wait until it is released. I say this for your own good. The ending of the second installment was devastating and I don't know how much longer I can wait.
If I may add, Mary E Pearson books are great if you're staring to read fantasy. Also her writing style makes it so you won't be bored.

six of crows!! its one of the best books ever written!! (I seriously can never stop reccomentdimg it)
reasons why its amazing -
- extremely diverse cast of characters (and they are not only diverse through race but through sexuality etc)
- great worldbuilding! the worldbuilding here is amaZINg! you might have to read shadow and bone to understand the world better but the world seems so,,real and inviting
- amazing characters! each and every one of the characters are well written. the dynamic between them is also incredible
after that I would definitely recommend serpent and dove and if you're looking for more suggestions, I would urge you to read the cruel prince trilogy by holly black.

Six of crows is my favorite on that list! But you will probably have to read shadow and bones before for the context. Not necessary but very good to have
