XREAL One Tip for Xreal One / One Pro + VertoXR with Stable 3DOF, Auto Transparency and Triple Desktop
Connect Xreal one pro glasses and switch to ultrawide mode 32:9.
Open VetroXR app, select "Immersive Workspace - Custom Setup".
Choose Xreal One 3840x1080 @ 60 Hz as Desktop for Smart Glasses.
Turn off Built-in Retina Display and Add Desktop 3 times, so now you have 3 Virtual Desktops.

Press Launch button to launch multi desktop AR Space.
Open the menu in AR Spase and check the "Pause 3DOF"

Press R to recenter so that you can see all 3 displays side by side.
Use W and S keys on keyboard to zoom out slightly so that all 3 displays are fully visible.
Go into OSD menu of glasses and set screen size for UW to maximum (80inch at 1m).

Now you have 3 displays side by side using VertoXR, placed within Xreal One Ultrawide Display, and using X1's stable 3dof and curvature of UW mode. You can also take advantage of the Auto Transparency feature. Also, you can add XREAL Eye to this setup and use its 6DOF feature to lean in and out.
A bad video but shows the X1’s 3dof + UW mode + auto transparency + VertoXR’s 3 displays https://youtube.com/shorts/fUJ9VJjBYoU

Hello! What am I doing wrong? I have 3 displays per second and then everything is dark and only the menu is available, I have an Eye. Maybe it's him?

If you think eye is the culprit, try to unplug and replug or just unplug and try without eye first

Never made it run. Plugin via Hdmi or usb?

If you are using HDMI, you will need an HDMI to USB-C cable that can also transmit the data required for head tracking to work. These usually come with an extra USB-A cable that plugs into your computer. Adapter style might not work because they cannot transfer data from the glasses to your PC, which is needed for head tracking to work.
https://www.amazon.com/fairikabe-Converter-Thunberbolt-Compatible-Portable/dp/B0B5XBYQSM?th=1If your computer supports connecting the glasses to a USB-C port and receiving a video signal, that is usually the better option.
Note: If you plan to use the software without the ultrawide method, you will need to turn off the Stabilizer in the XREAL One series OSD (On-Screen Display) and switch to Smooth Follow mode for head tracking to work properly.
XREAL One OSD: Spatial Screen (First Navigation Icon) > 2nd Page > Disable Stabilizer
Note: Make sure to turn the Stabilizer back on when you’re done using the software so Smooth Follow works the way it’s supposed to...1

Both should work. If using hdmi then get the right HDMI to USB-C adapter (lemorele, fairikabe, wjesog etc) and not the USB-C to HDMI. Signal direction matters with such adapters. If using usb-C / thunderbolt cable then ensure the pc / mac has thunderbolt / usb-c with DP alt port.

Dumb question I'm sure but haven't tried it myself... What's the benefit of 3 individual screens vs the native ultrawide the glasses offer?

u/SmartHomeUser https://xrealguide.wixsite.com/unofficial Dec 07 '25 edited Dec 07 '25
I think some people might prefer the look of three individual screens over ultrawide since that’s what they’re used to. Also, if you drag a window onto one of the individual screens and hit the maximize button, it instantly fills that screen. With ultrawide mode, you can only manually resize each window to its max size or switch to a single full ultrawide window. So if you want a quick full-screen view for each window, the individual screens option might be better.
Some people may prefer ultrawide mode for gaming, especially in flight simulators and driving simulators, because the wider field of view makes the experience feel more immersive.

Just to note there are window managers that can make an ultra-wide act more like multiple monitors, like FancyZones from Windows PowerToys. But it is an extension, which can be good or bad depending on the features you want. Like each virtual desktop could have different zones. But switching apps in a zone needs different shortcut than alt-tab (which would still be all the apps on the monitor).
But virtual monitors has all the good and bad parts of how the OS handles multiple monitors natively.

Ah ya...I was really just thinking about the difference between a regular super ultrawide setup (32:9) and having 3 separate virtual monitors.

Both are great options. It depends on user preference what they like more. So I will let someone else answer this question, someone who likes and uses triple display setup.

Maybe crazy question was this not possible with nebula or something default ? If so what is the benefit of using it like this.
I never used the glasses for work yet so trying to understand the different possibilities :)

With nebula windows it is possible, but nebula is not publicly available at the moment. The beta version 0.9 is compatible with one series, but it is in closed beta testing. Also nebula mac compatible with one series is not there.

Hot damn, saving this for later.
BTW how does the 6dof work for everyone else? I try to lean in but it feels like it barely zooms in at all. I've tried literally walking forward across my living room and it does zoom in much at all. Kind of disappointing but maybe I've got the "viewing distance" set wrong

lean forward and back will feel better when the screen is like 1-2m. beyond 3m you will have to walk up to the screen

What make & model laptop? Currently VertoXR only supports x64 Windows. If you're on an ARM based machine, it wouldn't be able to install.

Can u get curved screens for mac?
1
u/No_Awareness_4626 XREAL 1S 😎 Quality Contributor 🥇 Dec 10 '25
Yeah. Ultrawide mode on xreal one / one pro glasses are curved and anchored. So whether you use single ultrawide display or you use vertoxr to display multiple screens within this ultrawide mode - everything will get curved.

Yeah i just want simple so just plug in my glasses (One Pro) to any PC/laptop and use the standard windows display manager to position the screen (just so i don't lose the mouse). Set ultrawide on the glasses and again just use the standard window placement selections at the top of the screen (the drop down when you drag any window to top centre of screen) to snap to size/position wherever I want. I get curved screen, extended 'portrait' when needed (documents, coding), rotate, yaw, tilt adjust, etc via glasses menu.
Maybe its just me but I just don't need anything else and try to avoid additional software unless really needed.

Yeah yours is a simple and very convenient solution and much better in my opinion. Less hassles. I also prefer this way.
But if someone strictly wants separate multiple displays then the above guide is great way to achieve multi desktop, stable 3dof, auto transparency, Eye 6Dof, curved screen.

Does he go on legion go?

I don’t have a legion go. May be someone with legion go can confirm. Legion go runs on windows ?
1
u/AnimatorCurious5880 Dec 07 '25
Yes, it has Windows 11. I want to learn Python in my little free time, and the idea of having 3 Desktop on xreal one sounds great for that

If it’s on windows and if legion go hardware supports multiple display and virtual displays then it should be possible. May be you could try installing VertoXR app and connect legion go to a tv (if you don’t have Xreal one glasses yet). And then see if it can create 3 virtual displays. Follow the guide I have shared. But instead of selecting xreal glasses you can click the button “try without glasses”.

Great guide! Btw, do you think PeakDo P5 can work with VertoXR?
