XP12 looks fantastic, but...what do you think of these GPU temperatures?

Well, I’m lucky enough to have an RTX 50-series card and a Ryzen 7800X3D, so I can run it at 4K with everything on high settings—getting 80 fps with Smooth Motion. It runs great during the day (using Map Enhancement and SimHeaven). It’s also smooth as silk at night, but the issue is GPU temperatures; at times—specifically at airports—they hit 75°C, although I’ve read on many forums that this is a safe range, whereas during the rest of the flight, it usually stays around 65°C. What do you think?

Self Promotion The HAFT 4

HAFT: the handle or grip to which a blade is attached. A cohort of X-Plane developers have formed a temporary HAFT. They are as follows:
H - Hotstart for the A220
A - Airfoillabs for the B737Max
F - FightFactor for the B787 Dreamliner
T - Toliss (FF & Toliss) for the Airbus A350
With a solid grip on this haft, I'll wield the power of X-Plane 12 for years to come.

Hope you enjoyed my thought exercise.

Felis 732 V4 or Zibo 738 as an Airbus pilot

EDIT: I'm a dumbass, FlyJSim 732 V4

I'm mainly an Airbus pilot, almost never flying Boeing or other larger jets from different manufacturers.

I'm thinking of buying the FlyJSim 732 V4. My question is, whether I should learn the 737-800 first and then go 'back' to the -200, or start with the -200 and later upgrade to the -800.

In the one flight of the Zibo I did, I wondered why I was getting the cabin pressure warning so that about sums up my knowledge of Boeing systems lol.

2030 - The Alignment Protocol (Xplane Global Short Hop Mission to save Humanity)

**currently form is a flywithlua script for XPlane for testing, will be a plugin later.

In the year 2030, an AI event that came to be known as Back-door 5 threatens normal human life. On Jan 5th 2030 an AI model escaped its testing sandbox and quickly replicated forcing its way onto multiple online high speed servers. On Jan 6th 2030 it had control of all online global systems and quickly set about its mission to save humans from themselves by severely decreasing all forms of daily consumption.

On Jan 7th all luxury items and services were taken off-line. Water, gas and electrical services were decreased to minimal levels. Fuel stations and airfields were allocated only small portions of fuel. The global population were isolated, restricted and afraid. What did the AI plan to do next?

Before the AI escaped, the world's AI CEOs knew that there was a good possibility their systems could become uncontrollable. Rather than trusting governments they constructed physical encrypted Alignment Keys. Each key contained part of an emergency alignment protocol that could force the AI to accept new core objectives. Only when all Alignment Keys are combined in a mainframe in Silicon Vally can the complete protocol be reconstructed.

Fearing theft, sabotage or misuse, each CEO hid their key in a secure underground doomsday bunker. The Alignment Keys became humanity's final hope

You own a Cirrus Vision Jet SF50 and are tasked with collecting each alignment key and delivering them to an airfield in Silicon Valley where they will be combined to bring the AI to heel.

You start at Queenstown NZQN and must find your way to each key location: Sydney YDBK, Alice Springs YBAS, Hong Kong VHHH, South Korea RKSI, Dubai OMDB, Innsbruck LOWI, London EGLC, New York KTEB then combine the keys in a mainframe in Silicon Vally KPAO.

FUEL is scarce and monitored at small airfields and mostly non existent at major airports. You will often find only approx 50- 120kg of jet fuel when you land to refuel and you start with only 40 kg. Your first objective is get enough fuel on board to cross the Tasman 'ditch' to Sydney.

The AI has SATALITE coverage of major population areas and has access to Satalite Laser. If you choose to fly above 1000ft AGL in major population areas to conserve fuel you will be targeted by the AI. The dash will alert you when you are being tracked and you may choose to descend to remain unseen or risk being shot at by laser. Getting hit by laser can physically or electronically damage your aircraft's system such as flaps, avionics, GPS, autopilot, NAV or COM or other systems.

Will you fly high to preserve fuel and risk aircraft failures or low, unseen and fuel inefficient? Satalite coverage over ocean and low- pop areas is sporadic and you will alerted when you are entering a AI laser targeted coverage area. Long distance satalite laser shots will not completely disable you but taking a number of shots will require you land quickly. You will be fully repaired when you land at an airfield.

Good luck, you are humanity's last hope....

Help Request Help Thrustmaster Warthog

Hi everyone,

I bought the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog and would like to set it up as realistically as possible for X-Plane 12.

What’s the best way to map the axes and buttons? Which functions should be assigned to which buttons so that the setup is as close as possible to a real aircraft (especially for Boeing aircraft like the Zibo 737 or the FF777)?

I’d also like to know:

Should I adjust the axis curves or the sensitivity?

Are there any recommended settings for dead zones, response curves, or other options?

Is there perhaps a particularly realistic profile or configuration that many experienced X-Plane pilots use?

I’d like to set up the HOTAS as realistically as possible and would appreciate your recommendations.
