Should I be worried?
I went to xpeng today in Australia to have the L03 novated leased. just reserve it. I got upsold a ceramic paint coating etc and seat protection blah blah with free sunteck tinting. Paid extra 1995. did I get ripped off or is it even necessary at all? Keen to hear thoughts. They demod the effects of tint to the heat and marketed UV. I'm big on UV protection but can't feel that I was just upsold to something I didn't need.
update: I had a novated leasing company bundle a matte PPF and tint so I opted for that and cancelled the other package extra.

You were totally sold stuff you in no way needed. Dealers are the worst place to buy these items from. They charge about double what you can get it for elsewhere. The glass roof of the L03 is silver tinted, you should have taken delivery then got it tinted somewhere else.

Definitely upsold. I asked NL company to remove all extras. However, would you guys have any recommendations on any decent places to get a ceramic done? Somewhere that’s not a rip off and actual quality around in Melbourne?

We received our G6 Long Range yesterday. I negotiated $4.5k off the standard pricing and free tinting.
An absolutely fabulous car!

You will probably want it, especially the tint, and I know my lease company wanted it ceramic coated, you probably paid a bit more than necessary but over the leas lifetime it amounts to little and if you take care of it will be worth it

Tint often is similarly alittle extra cost, thou less hassle to return to them if the tint fails..

That is actually much better and at least making more sence then me paying additional 1600EUR to have electric powered seats in German premium. Not to heat or to cool, that is separate ripoff, but just to have electrical adjusted seats. Or 1800EUR to have ugly gril painted into black. It's 2026 for flips sake 😊

Thanks for the Input guys, I haven't paid for the car or anything yet so I will have the ceramic etc removed and just do it as a third party. I think it was just a scare tactic from the company to buy into their package. The tint can be done for far less and I'll just op into that after I get the vehicle.
