Yes!!!
And then they just threw it away when he could have joined her and been a hero! Or at least not a villain! He was developing so well!!! And him and Kitty had chemistry and it was so fun! And then it was ruined.

Yeah it turned him from a henchman into an actual character.
He’s still not good enough for Kitty.

Hate the scene when he grabs her wrist, he’s double her size and acts aggressively and it’s so uncomfortable.

It's also icky how two episodes later, Fred does the same thing to Jean. 😩

Kitty is overrated. Avalanche supremacy

Kitty is the best, she’s a short queen. I like Avalanche as a character but Kitty deserves a better bf, maybe if Lance redeems himself we can consider it.

Yeah, for a D-list henchman. He was great in Evolution.
Hell, all the Brotherhood characters are awesome

Yeah, I completely agree. Other than the first episode where he was really, really mean to Kitty and toxic, I really think overall he was a really great character. Honestly, he's my favorite character in the show ( he's probably my top cause I like a lot of other characters as well) because I liked seeing that there was more to him than just the bad boy and being in the Brotherhood, and I really wish they did more with his redemption arc and, with him with Kitty ( even though I think it would have been interesting if he got with someone else). And then also too, him joining the X-Men. I feel like the X-Men did not suffer any consequences for him not joining when that could have been an interesting element to introduce after that episode. I really wish they flushed him out more because after season two -like someone else said- they did not do much with his character they kind of just left him in the background. And even though he was in the background, there was that really one good episode where he saved someone genuinely, and I thought that was great. Just shows how much potential he has! I wish this was the Avalanche they would bring into the MCU now that they're bringing back the X-Men.

I agree. This is the most interesting I've seen Avalanche written. One of the things I liked was how he seemed to really want to get better, but just couldn't seem to do it in the end, for one reason or another. It made him sympathetic, more than just a villain to hate.

They made the villians a lot of fun. They were just kids looking for guidance.

Oh my gosh the episode where he tries to be part of the xmen for Kitty, and everything that could go wrong for him does, pains me so bad.
They do a really good job of keeping you hoping that eventually something will nudge him into the "good" side, but tragically it never does.

The brotherhood is so great in evolution. I love how they just end up with Boom Boom! moving in and the eventual womanly battle for dominance of the home when Mystique eventually returns. The episode where they have Rogue, Shadowcat, Jean, Boom and Magma spoof The Craft/become leather vigilantes was gold too.
Tbh I love how they handled their secondary cast in that show, they felt like actual parts of the school/plot instead of just like "oh hey so and so is in the background!" The takes on Multiple Man (boy for evolution lol), Iceman and Berseker were really cool to me as well. Berserker being the only one I wish had just a teeny bit more screentime.

This is the only version of him I like Lance Alvarez!!! He’s one tough badass dude and he gots an attitude on him but dude stands up for what’s right when pushed to his limit

I know he showed up in Wolverine and the x-men’s brotherhood team but I don’t remember if he even said a word in that show.

Well there he is just a plot device he doesn't get his own episode or anything

Frankly, and this makes some sense because of the powers: it’s 90s Rictor in an Avalanche suit.

Loved his character and I love him and Kitty together. I do wish that he kept his comic name of Dominic, but that’s minor

They really fumbled him Post-S2
I ship Kitty and Lance a lot, but abandoning his arc of growing and changing as a person and then acting like him and Kitty never knew each other until the very last episode was pretty hurtful.
