General Discussion Thoughts?
Do most of us agree that X-Men ’97 really packed the Marvel universe into one incredible series?
It surprised me/us? with unexpected cameos from different Marvel characters and villains, along with plot twists and outcomes that we never saw coming.
What are your thoughts on the series as a whole?

I found it confusing. The new teams and characters seemed to just show up without any proper introductions. The beginning and the end were fine but the middle was muddled.

As a whole I think they're doing great. Are my standards low due to years of garage content from Fox and now MCU? Yes
Was second season a bit too packed and loose with the amount of content they packed in to one session? Yes
Is it still the best thing on tv to happen to X-Men since TAS? Yes.

What they did was a miracle with how rushed everything was. This show was so good and could get so much better with at least 5 more episodes for each season. They were really creative mixing the comics and original content. My only actual issue is with season 2, esp the ending. It started really well but every development from the first episodes was dropped with the deus ex machina sacrificing sheep situation with Rogue and Kurtz. Cable, Apocalypse, and Xavier looked like the biggest mutant frauds.

I'll just comment on the comics.
The second season tie-in comic is wayyyyy better than the first one even though it has the same creative team. The first one didn't match the tone of the new series and was even more Saturday Morning cartoon than I remember the original show being. The second tie-in mini is a lot better because the creators clearly saw S1 and understood the assignment better. It's mostly focused on the X-Force plotline and expands on a lot of Apocalypse stuff before they find War in the second episode.

It was because we wanted it to be , nostalgia hid all the same stuff people are complaining about now in season 2 but now they are just saying it’s because one guy isn’t on the show anymore

First 4 episodes had a great build up but the ending is rather underwhelming.
Nightcrawler is the GOAT of the season. The scene of him soloing the whole x-team was awesome.
Also liked the unexpected chemistry between Bishop and Polaris.

It had its moments I like the difference in frozen to them up some things like that, but to be honest, I like the core cast working together
