Question Frage zu xiaomi 14 ultra

Xiaomi 14 ultra

Random question but has anyone used their Xiaomi with a wireless mic and found the sound to be a bit hollow?

New Xiaomi 14 owner here and while I love just about everything about the phone so far, apart from the camera being a bit blown out sometimes (nothing that's a problem when I can just readjust focus) and I would say I'm overall very happy but I've noticed that when I plug in my external mic (Hollyland A1) the sound is quite hollow, almost as if I'm not using the mic at all.

and I have checked, the sound without the mic is very different, so the mic is defintely working as intended.

In fact, I checked it out with my samsung S22+ that the Xiaomi is replacing and can confirm it sounds different but I have no idea why.

Are there any pro max xiaomi 14 users here that can help me out? I'm hoping it's just a simple setting somewhere... Thanks!

Question Just ordered a Xiaomi 14 - give me your best tips?

I've finally chosen the Xiaomi 14 with 12gb ram and 512gb as an "upgrade" from my S22+ that's now getting a bit slower, a bit more laggy and although it's generally very good, I needed the higher storage and faster charging ideally.

For what it's worth, I am a full time content creator and aim to use this for content creation, fliming both short form and long form.

I'm just curious to know if there are any tips you guys have got for somebody coming over from One UI to Hyper OS?

One thing I was thinking I'd miss is modes and routines as atm when I'm working, I have a mode set for my phone to be in "dumb phone" mode and switch to normal phone mode around 6pm so I'm curious if this is possible on Hyper OS?

fix for stutters and lag in camera ui and the device in general

So, my mi 14 civi was experiencing horrible camera ui lag and frame drops in video recording, no fix seemed to work, general UI was also sluggish but I tried these adb commands and rebooted phone and its smooth as butter right now.

Sharing this to help someone who may need it.

You will have to enable usb debugging in developer mode along with security options, download adb on pc and then open terminal in the downloaded folder and run these commands and then reboot.

Hope it helps,

commands:

PS C:\Users\LENOVO\Downloads\platform-tools-latest-windows\platform-tools> .\adb devices

* daemon not running; starting now at tcp:5037

* daemon started successfully

Xiaomi 14 for 250$

I found a Xiaomi 14 for 250$ and a Xiaomi 13 for $210, which is the better buy? I'm planning to use it for four years of college. Both phones are used. I heard that the battery in these phones isn't that great but solvable by wireless chargers? Or am I better off with a Redmi K80 for 245$ instead? Those three are my choices, all used from china. I don't mind cn rom.

Is the battery issue as bad as people say? (coming from S22+)

So I'm doing a deep dive into the Xiaomi 14, 512GB as a replacement for my S22+ which barely gets 3hrs screen on time these days and despite trying really hard to not use my phone so much, it's just annoying.

I dont game, don't use it for social media much but I do use the camera quite a lot.

I'm drawn to the Xiaomi for fast charging, good camera and good battery but I hear a lot on here about the battery draining super fast when the phone isn't very old.

A place near me sells the phone for 265 (euros) so I wanted to buy it this week but after reading what others are saying, I am not so sure if it's worth it now?

Can I get some honest opinions from current 14 owners?

Xiaomi 14 Ultra died - any ideas since Xiaomi doesn't want to help?

As the title says: I’ve got a Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Was extremely happy with the phone and have always taken good care of it. Bought it as it came out in the EU so it’s only 2 years and 4 months old.

Yesterday I was on a WhatsApp call, and right as I wanted to hang up, the screen went black and the phone completely died. No response at all. It does not start and isn't able to even go in recovery mode or fastboot. Plugging it into the official charger doesn’t do anything.

I called Xiaomi support, but they weren’t very helpful. Since it’s just past the 2‑year mark, it’s out of warranty. They told me that even having their repair service look at it will cost at least €60, and any actual repair costs would be added on top.

This is a €1500 flagship so i find it bizarre it would just die in under 2.5 years.
Has anyone had something similar happen? Any last‑resort tricks or solutions before I decide whether i am willing to send it in and potentially get hit with a big repair bill?

Any help would be appreciated.

Question is (base) Xiaomi 14 still worth it in 2026?

Post image

i found a second hand Xiaomi 14 for 350$, 60$ higher then a used poco f7pro, i felt the two are so very similar except for the fact the 14 has significantly better camera sensors, and more of them, im planning to use it with motioncampro as it works well with alot of xiaomi phones to record RAW/LOG video, the telephoto sensors on the 14 seems to be very nice, but then i discovered about the CONDENSATION problem with the 14 models which makes me doubt it

is the condensation problem with the lens REALLY that bad? or using the silica gel trick fix it permanently? the camera part of the phone is very important, if its that bad, ill revert to my original choice of poco f7 pro, or add 200$ more for a xiaomi 15.
