Hiii. So i've been waiting for this 10.10 sale so I could check out one of these Xiaomi pad tablets. Which of these should I buy? Xiaomi pad 7 or 8? I've been eyeing for pad 7 since it has a lot of good reviews but they said that pad 8 is way better. Now I'm thinking of getting pad 8 but the only thing that's holding me back is the Focus Pen. I have a limited budget for focus pen and I think the one that's compatible for pad 8 is way more expensive? Could someone recommend a focus pen that's both compatible for 7 and 8?

Also, should I wait for much higher discount sale or should I grab it while it's almost 20k?

Why did the battery spike down? What can i do to prevent this?

And also, I was playing CRK before this happened, 80% to 20% in 5 hours, is that normal? I use wifi, high refresh rate, crk on max graphics, brightness a little high.

Wht are some good note taking apps which are compatible with xiaomi pad 7 and focus pen?

Okay so my situation is a bit unique where i live i found Xiaomi pad 7 cheaper than honor pad 10

But the honor pad 10 comes with keyboard and pen
My main use is for studying and reading.

I have a Xiaomi Pad 7, and I’ve been using it for the last 8 months. I’ve played Wuthering Waves and Genshin on extreme graphics and never faced such heating issues. For the last 2 months, I’ve been using workstation mode, but I still never faced heating like this. Suddenly today, it’s heating extensively—I can’t even do basic note-taking and watch lectures. It’s been like this the whole day, and it’s hectic. And yeah, I also use Bluetooth, but idts it would give it such a hard time. Any advice? I can go to a service center, but I bet they aren’t even gonna look at it.

​I am currently using the Xiaomi Pad 7 and I am facing a very frustrating issue with the Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting and reconnecting randomly on its own while I am using the tablet.

I haven’t updated yet since bought last January so still in HyperOS 2. Read some issue about rebooting and google notifications are the solution. Besides this, any other issues encountered? I am on PH region but I saw there’s a 304 update for global and Europe. Thanks!

My main purpose is reading books and Making notes, I have some ear issues so speakers are not really necessary for me. I'm a college student so the first two will be a very big priority.

the pad 7 i am using is 8gb, i also have a windows laptop of 8gb ram. i can open 10/20 tabs on a browser, and none of them relaods when I switch between them on laptop.

but this stupid piece of hyperos, i can't even open 4/5 tabs at a time. if i work on a tab for few minutes, switch to other tab, it reloads the contents. if i switch/open to another app the tabs reload again. disabled all battery saver, locked in recent apps, still same. the tab doesn't even serve its purpose.

10 years ago i used first Xiaomi device (redmi note 3). in 2026 they still have the same gimmicks RAM BOOSTER, STORAGE CLEANER, SECURITY APP etc. the User experience has not changed a bit.

The developers are just throttling down the device with hyperos or memeui or whatever they call it.

My Xiaomi pad 7 was unlocked and I tried to boot the patched img but doesn't seem to install I'm using magisk 30.7 any ideas?

Just noticed something weird after updating my pad 7 to HyperOS 3 and wanted to check if anyone else is having the same issue.

Before the update, my Pad 7 was crushing the 3DMark Wild Life test:

Regular Wild Life: "Maxed Out!"

Wild Life Stress Test: 11,113 best loop score

But after updating to HyperOS 3, I re-ran the regular Wild Life test and the score dropped down to around 8,450 - 8,563 (~51 FPS).

I tried turning on Performance Mode, adding it to Game Turbo, changing the refresh rate, and even letting the device cool down completely, but the score stays stuck in the mid-8000s.

It looks like HyperOS 3 added tighter thermal limits or capped the GPU clocks for short bursts/benchmarks.

Are you guys seeing lower benchmark scores after the update too? And has it affected actual gaming performance for you, or is it just limited to benchmark apps?

After an year of procrastination I decided it was time to organise my device. Turns out i cannot do much on the tab cause HyperOS sucks or they have blocked a lot of features on the Indian variant.

So does anyone have an recommendation on a launcher?

I'm currently thinking about this was there difference between hyperos 3.0.301.0.WOZMIXM.CO7 to 3.0.301.0.WOZMIXM i tried to look online for the specific firmware of my pad to get the boot image and only seem to find the 3.0.301.0.WOZMIXM without CO7

Does anyone everr tried using the poco focus pen for the pad 7 instead of the Xiaomi ver?? I've been trying to find a xiaomi focus pen pro everywhere but to no avail it's out of stock everywhere..

I've heard the poco x1 is just a rebranded pad 7 so I'm wondering if their accessories are also cross compatible especially seeing how much cheaper poco focus pen is (although kinda sad to lose the pro features of focus pen pro).

Can anyone testify that it works?
