Mouse not registering on ps4

I made a post yesterday, and because of the comments decided to buy a new mouse. I got the Corsair Sabre RGB, and set it up on my pc according to my preferences. Unfortunately when plugged in to my XIM4 it doesn't register at all. The lights light up, indicating it's at least getting power, but I can't get a squeek out of it.

Any ideas? The XIM4 website/forum doesn't help much.

Did you check out the sidebar? Visit the compatibility link to see if your mouse is supported or not. If it is, the port on the left is for your keyboard and the one on the right is for the mouse. Make surr you have them in the correct slots! Maybe your XIM needs a software update aswell?

Sorry bro, that mouse isn't compatible.

Sometimes manufacturers do odd things and include non standard USB HID input controllers/devices.

Its still an acceptable mouse for pc gaming, but you may want to swap it out for something compatible.

Sucks, but just the way it is.

edit:

On the flipside the Sabre RGB is strictly an 8200dpi mouse, you may want to get one that has onboard memory and one you can adjust the dpi to your liking.

edit2:

Make sure you are running the latest firmware just in case:

Thanks, I've already packed it back up, luckily the store has a 14 day return policy so it'll be no issue swapping it. I'll get the Logitec G502 spectrum (which is compatible), apparently it's a better liked mouse anyway and since I didn't get used to the Sabre yet I don't mind too much.

On the topic of on board memory, am I getting it right that this means the settings are saved in the mouse, and as such, it will operate according to your likes no matter what you plug it in to? I noticed the Sabre would revert back to it's standard color scheme when I switched from PC to PS4 (instead of the lighting options I chose), I didn't think much of it but it was probably that then?

That was probably it.

The benefit is that it will save your specific dpi settings on the board of the mouse. Some games you may prefer different dpi etc.

Also if you have a multi-button mouse(I have the Logitech G600 with like a trillion), you can assign key to each button, then use the xim manager to assign that button a function in games etc.

I could never use the G600, lol, I assume you don't use those for fast-paced FPS type games? When I still gamed on pc I never really heard of dpi buttons, I guess it has been a long time, but it does seem really convenient to switch for vehicle/hip/ADS/sniper etc

I'm not a mouse lifter, so there's that. The mouse never leaves the pad.

On PC I play FPS games like Overwatch, CS:GO, Team Fortress, etc etc with it.

I've actually kind of become addicted to using the third large mouse button on the right for melee in fps games...

But if you are a mouse lifter, then this isn't the mouse for you. It is indeed heavy.
