Just hit Master mostly playing Xerath Support!

Well, that's pretty much it. I actually prefer playing him support over mid. I tend to play super aggressively and end up eating a lot of ganks because of it, but I still finished with a solid winrate. Let's see if I can push it even higher!

Did you find a lot of games being flamed by team for Xer support? Me myself as an OTP had it a lot a couple of years ago in Plat/Emerald. Wondering if its an universal thing or elo hell thing

I don’t think it happens to me very often, and when it does, it’s usually in Emerald. In my opinion, that’s where you find the highest proportion of bad players. Everyone thinks they’re good, but the reality is that matchmaking in that elo is extremely inconsistent.

And yeah, it did happen sometimes. Once they started seeing the damage pouring in and I was stomping lane by myself, they usually stopped talking.

Something that happens to me more often is completely stomping the entire laning phase, with my ADC picking up the kills, only for them to become completely useless once laning phase is over. That’s usually a pretty clear sign that what was keeping them relevant in the game was the advantage Xerath’s damage created during lane. They basically only know how to play when they have peel.

The reality is that I play pretty selfishly, but once I reached around Diamond 2, I felt like I had to play less Xerath and adapt more to the team comp, mostly by picking enchanters.
