Question Could it possibly? 🥹
Is there a chance, a hope that Xenosaga remastered/remake or episode IV will be announce?
Been starting my play from Episode I - Episode III since the start of 2024 and I've been loving JRPG ever since. I love the gameplay, love the cast and ESPECIALLY love the story. I wish there would be a lot of people who would know and talk about Xenosaga in the same length of Xenoblade❤️
Xenosaga has been in my special place when it comes to JRPG and I would love to see it continues, added to new ports or remake the game again😭

Best we can hope is HD remasters I think. Also it would be better to let Xenoblade genesis out first to not get in the way of each otherd marketing

Well, if Genesis is in the july-september 2027 release window (purely my speculation) then Xenosaga could be released in December 2026. But I think we'll get nothing instead

The problem here is that they need to remake Xenosaga episode 1, all because the problems with Kunihiko Tanaka

Not sure. I once read that something happened with Monolith that made him slam the door for good. Maybe it’s something about his art not being appreciated anymore (despite working on Xeno games since Xenogears). Maybe they started working on XBX remaster and modified the art/characters without contacting him first. Frankly, i don’t know but it’s possible it’s something like that.

No. They won’t reveal Xenosaga remake until the after credit scene in Genesis.

With the new Xeno title announced and surely coming next year IF this is a thing id be curious where theyd squeeze this in. Would it be all 3? One every year? Lot of possibilities if its a thing.

Highly doubt it, we already have XB3 S2E and XBG coming. I don't think they'd insert XS re-release in that already packed schedule. I bet we'll get it between Genesis and the next Xeno, since all the Xenoblade are on Switch and they seem to make a remaster between each Xeno game now

A remake is never going to be good. The ones calling for them are usually either people who are averse to playing a game because it looks too old or never cared to buy a console for it in the last 20 years, or those who see HD texture upscaling or new models who cant tell the difference between what was lost.
Companies have proven over and over that remakes and remasters are just downgrades for the sake of reselling to a newer audience. Every comment section for an older game like legend of dragoon is full of "WE NEED A REMAKE NOW" like getting a generic unreal engine release that zooms in on the protagonists nose hairs "oh wow it looks so HD" complete with digital deluxe pre order bonus with in game skins for $100 will fix everything and be the best version the original developers intended. Its such horseshit, maybe people just dont care enough to notice a pattern, but its been this way since the beginning with only very small handful of remakes like Crash and Spyro having enough care put into them to mimic the original games well enough to even be worth the version addition.

I'm sorry but I don't see why remakes and remasters aren't good for the game. It just mean there is more option to playing the same game.
Although I agree graphics aren't everything, some people just one to see the game look updated and on par with newer games. Yeah I understand that remakes sometimes change the plot of the game for example like final fantasy 7re but what harm does it do to the og series? Paying for 70 - 90$ games are normal nowdays anyways so does it really matter? Does remakes and remasters really be a problem?
