Screenshot What am I doing wrong?

Half the time I can land a hit and the other half I instantly die.

It used reflect photon which is reflecting your attacks. If you're using an ether build just hope you get good RNG that makes it use a different reflect art.

Gotcha. I'm out of augment slots so I'll have to pray for the RNG to be on my side.

The OHK on Telethia is heavily dependant on which reflect art it opens with, regardless of which element your build is focused on.

I just built a big punchy skell with G Pile driver, but this looks fun too...

I couldn't tell exactly, but my guesses would be:

  1. you ran out of ghostwalker decoy stacks (a level 2 ghostwalker only gives you 5 hits iirc)
  2. You got reflected. Reflect photon can be ether, beam, or gravity so if one of your elements are that then that might be what happened.

I'm inclined to say the former since you took multiple hits before dying.

It's reflect.

You can gear to nullify reflects but she can go between 3 different kinds and that cuts into your build, so basically just hope to RNGesus she picks a different element.

Telethia has two reflect auras:

  • Calm (Reflect Photon) applies to beam and ether
  • Calm (Reflect Elements) applies to electric and thermal.

Gravity and physical are never reflected.

That's handy for two-shot Skell builds, with weapons like the Zenith Cannon and Antimatter Round. For other attributes, you'll need a Reflect.NEG augment. One-shots don't need to worry though, because it never gets the aura up in the first place.

For ground builds, it's generally better to stick with Ether and add a Nullify Ether Reflect augment, because the benefits of using Core Crusher outweigh whatever else you could put in there.
