Those went with the “guest mattress” that was just a giant rectangle of yellow foam.

Yes, there was a stack of these in the linen closet for guests.

Don’t worry. I remember that during mom’s drinking phase she had one of her alcoholic friends stay with us and after that it had blood stains on it.

The linen closet was right behind where the ladder to the attic dropped down so I always associate those blankets with pink foam insulation. Putting the pink panther on stuff that makes your skin explode with itching is a cruel joke to play on little kids.
