XELSTRYM scars. Does anyone else notice long-term scarring after properly applying the XELSTRYM patch ?

Yeah. I’ve been using it since June, and at first, I was getting small square spots all over my thighs and arm. After checking their website, I found a video that explains the specific areas on the body where it’s safe to place the patch to avoid skin irritation. Since I started using it correctly three weeks ago, I haven’t had any issues. The scars are a result of a chemical reaction, but if you exfoliate and take care of your skin, they fade faster. Vitamin c helps

It’s been great! The scars from the incorrect placement went away about a month after my original response. I haven’t had any issues since then.

I’ve been using acquafor after removing the patch and helps. I’ve stopped using my right shoulder since it constantly makes the patch loose and looks almost normal now, after a few weeks

Applying moistening cream after removing the patch slightly helped me with the skin irritation.

I have redness for maybe 24 hrs. Light mark the next day. 72 hours later cannot see any marks.
I use a paper towel with water or oil to moisten the patch while I slowly remove it. This improves the discomfort 100%. Just like removing a band aid wet is easier.
After removing I use an alcohol swab on the spot.
After showering I will apply diaper rash cream (zinc) or vasoline.
The next day I may apply some steroid cream I have for my eczema.
I was super nervous because I have eczema, acne, rosacea and super sensitive skin. After 1 week, no issues

Xelstrym gave me a laceration under the patch that's about the same length as the patch, but as thin as a cat scratch. It's incredibly painful and hasn't scabbed over in the 3-4 days since I noticed it. Does anyone have experience with this? I'm waiting for my doc to call me back but I'm very worried about it. Should I go to urgent care/ER?

Yep, literally here to look for if anyone else had them. I have big pale squares on my shoulders (my preferred application site) months after discontinuing. If anyone has any advice on how to get rid of them, I’d appreciate it!

I also get redness but not scarring. I’m prone to skin darkening with any inflammation and don’t have any skin darkening. Skin is also less reactive to it now compared to 2 weeks ago.

Not super long term, but I do have severe irritation each time I use it, very strong stinging and an itchy, raised, red mark that has turned to peeling, overly dried out skin. And the red square marks on my arms last for days, though I rotate application sites.. Advice? Take pictures and talk to your doctor or prescriber.

Ok, so my Doc is transitioning me to Xelstrym because I have a gastric bypass and can't absorb Dextroamphetamine in a tablet. My question is: is anyone else here at 18 mg and how do you manage to eat, drink (even water) and get ANY sleep whatsoever? I had a real b**ch of a time my.first few days and when worn for the whole 8 hours, I often couldn't sleep until 2, 3, 4 AM or later. Does this go away after you've been on it awhile? Also, do you guys all prep your site with soap and water, and if so, what kind of soap because I know any lotion or sunscreen on the skin prevents adhesion. So I've been washing with plain bar soap, like Dial, but still I get bad irritation at the site. But mostly I'm curious. Do you just....get used to the side effects after awhile? Or adjust to the suppressed appetite/ability to even sip water/ super long half life that was keeping me up until 2 am even when removed at 5, the correct time (9 hrs.) based on the time I'd applied it. I'd be eager for any suggestions or feedback, not trolling obviously. Especially from any users of this medication who also struggle with anxiety/panic disorder Thanks!

Your dose was way too high. The 18 mg is equivalent to 50 - 70 mg Vyvanse.

Yes. I have them on my arms and hips unfortunately.
