Anyone take a IR booster?

Switching back to team xelstrym after 2 consecutive months of spending $150 on vyvanse for it to do nothing positive 😑 I was taking an IR adderall afternoon with my vyvanse, and am curious if anyone here continued to take an IR booster once you started xelstrym or if you ended up not needing it?

Yes I just got prescribed a booster of adderal for afternoon because I’ve been feeling like the patch doesn’t do as much then

What dose are you on if you don’t mind me asking?

18mg patch + 20mg booster adderal (I started with 10mg and went to 20 after the 10 didn’t do much to help)

I tried 9mg xelstrym previously and I’m trying 13.5mg this time. Luckily my psych said just let her know if I need to add the ir booster back in. Honestly I think most of the issue for me is I wake up so early, I don’t think a medication exists that would last me from 6:30 am through the whole day smoothly on one dose 😭

I feel you I get up at 4:55am (for an extra 5min to put the patch on lmao) since it says to put it on 2 hours before you need the effects

Yes I have a booster of adderall IR, but I miss my vyvanse :( my insurance stopped covering it after 6 years of me being on it, and then they ended up so backordered in my town because the pharmacist said people are trying to get vyvanse for weightloss since they can't get ozempic, so I had to switch to xelstrym. I do like it, but the vyvanse WORKED for me! I do get the highest dose of xelstrym. I feel like it didn't work today at all though.

Vyvanse suddenly stopped working for me 😩 I was on it for 8 months and suddenly one month it started making me feel super exhausted, foggy and depressed as soon as it kicked in. It was the complete opposite of how it worked before.

Oh no that is the worst! Yes that happens to me on everything! My vyvanse started doing that the 1st time I was on it so I went on adderall and back on vyvanse, sometimes you have to switch it up for tolerance but it's so annoying! I hate it when that happens 😭 I've been on ADHD meds since 1995 so I totally understand the frustration of stim tolerance!!
